Hello, friends! So, today Joe and I were all set to watch The Room. However, it is not currently available legally. Anywhere. Not to stream, rent, or buy (at least in the US). There were some shadier sources to watch it, but they were clearly copyright infringement and we don't know if they would have been safe for hardware (yours or ours). So, we watched the second-place winner instead, Mac and Me. If The Room becomes available (it appears to have been so in the past on various streaming services), we will watch it as a make-up. Please accept our apologies, and I hope you find Mac and Me to be as a worthy absolutely ridiculous alternative and monument to bad filmmaking.

These movies are so bad they keep ruining your poll results :) The Room is one I've seen enough scenes from and know enough about from cultural osmosis to be interested in a watchalong, Mac and Me I just know from that one clip Paul Rudd always trolls Conan O'Brien with.

Your own screenname here is a massive spoiler to one of the shows on this channel, but I would bet there is no possible way that, let's say whichever of Joe and Kevin are watching that show, would get spoiled on it without knowing the context already,

Yes, I was 3 and as I've said I have no idea why it's haunted me, and it took me years to find out what movie it was from. Yeah I joined after watching on another channel and had the pic too but changed it out of fear. One has seen the whole thing, the other is getting close. I've considered changing it a bunch, but I don't think they've noticed or would be spoiled without internet sleuthing that I know they avoid. This comment drawing attention to it could also aid towards spoiling but in like 3 weeks it won't matter.

Of course, you don't watch The Room to have a good time. It is - honestly - so bad it makes you feel better about every other movie out there. And unless I'm misreading something you can just buy it at theroommovie dot com?

There is a version available on Internet Archive. My laptop is a virus magnet and it handled that copy just fine. I can't speak to the legality of it, I'm certainly not encouraging anyone to watch it there, in fact I said nothing! *whistles and walks away*
