I’ve never in my life deliberately watched a bad movie to try and enjoy its badness but this 2000 bad cgi alien one looks like a good place to start.

The only reason I know about this one is because of the Conan O'Brien bit with Paul Rudd. If you don't know what I'm talking about - I can post vids

Around this time I saw the Disney movie Flight of the Navigator and wanted the VHS, but it wasn’t a wide vhs release. I had my family call every video store looking for one. One said they had it and my grandparents came back with this movie instead. Every time I saw this it made me look harder for Flight of the Navigator (finally found a copy 10 years later thanks to the invention of eBay). I didn’t hate this movie as a kid but even then I knew this wasn’t good. They did have little Mac alien toys in Happy Meals for a short time and McDonald’s actually sold then gave away the VHS. Fun fact Jennifer Anniston is in the McDonald’s scene as her first acting job as an extra.

I only saw this movie because of the Rudd clips on Conan. I finally watched it about 10 years ago. So terrible. Haven’t watched the reaction yet but looking forward to it!
