Definitely getting to the meat and potatoes of the season. Still one of my favorites even after so many rewatches. I love seeing the wheels turn in your head calculated where storylines could go! If you want to keep rolling with dark fantasy after you close this one out I’d really recommend Outlander on starz You’ll see a few familiar faces.

Love the show (my avatar pic is me as a Stark), and will not shy away from intense scenes, but the one with Jamie and Cersei in this episode has always baffled me. I haven't read the books yet, but if it's a choice by the showrunners, I don't understand it. We were starting to watch a redemption arc from Jamie, and that's where he went? Please, could the book readers confirm this for me? Is it from the original content from GRRM?

According to my memory, Jaime & Cersei "do" ""it"", but it's consented by both Jaime AND Cersei. So, yes, to me it's...not great they decided to go in that direction in the series.

This feels like a little bit of a pattern with the show writers, adding sexual violence where it isn't really needed in a story that already had plenty of it. It's also a repeated pattern of them having Jaime backslide in his apparent redemption ark in ways that didn't happen in the book either.

Yeah, I was really loving Jaime's redemption. Maybe they continue with it? That really put a bad taste in my mouth though.
