I have based countless D&D characters off of this movie and cribbed the names more than once. I love this movie.

I first saw this movie on an incredibly shitty VHS recorded off TV. Still loved it. It inspired the most "this joke was specifically written just for me" joke in The Venture Bros., a show that already felt like it was written specifically for me.

So fun to watch this again! I saw this in the theater as a kid, and our family had it in the collection of VHS tapes on the shelf. No matter how many times I’ve seen it, the music in this film is *chef’s kiss*. With this particular reaction, I’ve come to the realization that there are three things for which you two are definitely NOT getting enough credit: * Including Matthew Broderick’s accent in the cast list * Kevin’s spot-on Beastmaster-hawk-call impression * Your groovy 80s-sitting-down-dance moves 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 May the world come to know and appreciate your talents sooner rather than later.🙏🏻

It was my favorite part of Beastmaster: How come he can talk to his other animals in English, but he needs to squawk at the hawk??

Perhaps the hawk is a Humanmaster, and as such the hawk is afforded the respect of being addressed in its native language? The fact that the hawk refuses to speak in English suggests it’s exerting some sort of power move, demonstrating its alpha status over the human.🤷🏼‍♀️
