Honest: I didn't even know there was a live action remake until I googled this to post the video just now.

Man, as a full on 36 year old adult, there's parts of this movie that are way too scary for me. Wild that it didn't bother me as a kid lol

When it comes to old disney princess movies I personally prefer Sleeping Beauty. The artwork is literally a work of art. Very underrated. Of course after that came Disney Renaissance and brought us many amazing movies PS When it comes to live action Cinderella is the only one worth watching

Awkward subject. Peter Dinklage is a great actor.. Who likes putting other people with dwarfism out of work; full-tilt crab bucket. The original, of course, is an absolute classic.

Honestly, since I just heard of this remake this morning, I am just now getting kind of caught up on so much of the controversy around it.

I agree. I am definitely not a fan of the adaptations. They are clearly just a cynical money grab preying on nostalgia.

You might like Disney’s Sword in the Stone and Robin Hood. They are actually really witty for children’s animated films.

Also a tool for Disney to maintain copyright over their content longer when it would otherwise be public domain.

Snow White is a princess- her father passed away and her step-mother became queen and forced her to live the life of a scullery maid but she's still a princess. Also if you appreciate the art of animation, you should check out Sleeping Beauty (1959) which is probably the pinnacle of hand-drawn animation.

I politely disagree. He didn't protest the Willow reboot, for instance, that had its share of little people actors. Dinklage is not the only one who has been saying that actors with dwarfism should get more opportunities than playing munchkins, elves, and fairytale creatures as magical side characters. And even if he was, Disney is an incredibly powerful studio that could have easily dismissed a single actor's personal opinion from outside the company. They just used it as an excuse to save money and trial-run AI/CGI options. It looks an absolute disaster mess, but that's not even remotely Peter Dinklage's fault.

I think (besides seeing The Fox and the Hound in the theater when I was a toddler) my first Disney Animated movie was The Little Mermaid. I will definitely check out more, and thank you for the suggestions!

My first ride I went on on my first trip to Disney World was the snow white ride my parents having no idea it was a horror ride. It took multiple trips around the it’s a small world boats before I’d be willing to get on anything else. I was lucky enough to grow up in the 80s when Disney still released two or three of their classics in theaters each year so I did manage to see most of the animated classics on the big screen.

I was very scared too! The witch freaked me out at 4 yrs old.

There’s a made for tv movie available on Disney+ called The Color of Friendship. It’s based on a true story. My sister’s next door neighbor, Christopher Morgan, was a producer on it and it won an Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Program in 2000. Mr. Morgan’s father was Harry Morgan, who played Col. Potter on the tv show MASH. He has both his Emmy and his father’s Emmy on a window sill that you can see from my sister’s guest bedroom. I make sure to take a glimpse each time I visit.
