Man I’m really torn here - hope a round 2 comes around!

Maddy D.

It may not win but the Emperors New Groove is PEAK Disney experimentation and I think you’d both get a huge kick out of it.

Riley Swain

Tangled is one of my favorites of all time! How to Train your Dragon, Emperor's New Groove, and Wreck it Ralph are also awesome -- hope to see a round 2!

Youtalkingtome

It will! We have seen so few animated movies (except the Toy Stories; those films go hard!), we will frequently return to animation.

Suggestions for future animation polls? Two come to mind: "Yellow Submarine" (1968).....dazzling, trippy, beautiful! And "Allegro Non Troppo" , a 1970s adult version of "Fantasia" that was done in Italy. Hilarious! (Both of them!).

nj

brave was my first choice, but tangled is a very close second.

DelGuy03

The Emperor's New Groove is a lot of fun, but for me Tangled goes into the top echelon of all Disney animation ever (with maybe just 2 or 3 others).

Roland

I thought Wreck-It Ralph was genius, and gets my vote, but I'm unfamiliar with Tangled, gonna have to check it out based on the feedback here. :)

Wow, some great ones here! How to train your dragon is fantastically good. Tangled is also great. Those two are probably my favourites from the list, but would be happy to see you react to most of these!

Tim Miller

Yes Tangled is a Rapunzel adaptation. They are both great, Brave gets overlooked a lot. Hercules, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, and Treasure Planet are underrated Disney movies too.

Alex Lee

It's a shame Tangled doesn't have more votes :(

Arek Schneyer

How to Train your Dragon was innovational in certain aspects of animation, especially reflections. It also has an amazing soundtrack that I can listen to over and over again.

Raul Panzar

I'm seeing a severe lack of Japanese animation here. May I suggest Akira or Ghost in the Shell?

Maddy D.

I really want to see a jukebox musically movie poll simply for the fact I wanna see you guys watch Across the Universe if you never seen it. One of my very favorites and it’s ALL Beatles music

Cosmic Slice

Brave was such a a great and beautiful movie!

capricornmom

how to train your dragon is truly such a masterpiece in animation!!! I love so many of these options though

fire12wife

My favorite animated movie Is the Disney movie classic Pete's Dragon (1977)! I know that Elliot, the dragon, is the only thing that's animated, but it's such a great movie, and so well done for its time. It still holds up! Though, I have to give honorable mentions to The Last Unicorn (1982), An American Tail (1986), Aladdin (1992), and of course The Little Mermaid (1989)!

Sly_Budlong

Brave is my favorite because of how much I relate to Merida 💚 It hits a whole lot different now that my mom is gone though. 💔

dys

This poll is all pretty family-friendly stuff so maybe a separate poll for animation aimed at adults.

dys

Yeah there's at least 5 on here I can't choose between

dys

Really good one with a very interesting troubled development history behind it, it's a miracle it ever got released.

dys

Coco is easily my favorite thing Pixar has done in the last 10 years.

dys

It's really good, just up against some very strong competition.

Michelle

I mean the obvious answer has to be all of them eventually right? Maybe an animation movie marathon?

Bee

Hey, I think you should react to Monster House, El Dorado and Megamind

Youtalkingtome

Of course! This is a group of movies (with others) that are all highly loved and recommended by Patreon friends, and deserve their chance to be seen!

MrRuss50

Always meant to watch Anastasia. Very curious how they adapted a story about an entire royal family massacred into a childrens cartoon.

Jamie Morgan

Prince of Egypt is an absolutely stellar movie, it came out in the late 90s and it remains one of Dreamworks' best. More recently Puss in Boots: The Last Wish came out, and that's destined to become a classic, too. You don't need to have watched any of the Shrek movies or the first Puss in Boots movie to get it, it very much stands on its own and it is VERY good!
