I’ve been waiting for you to get to this episode. I remember watching this episode in 2015 and saying to myself, game of thrones just took the walking dead’s lunch.

Want to start with Danny about Jorah and Tyrion in Meereen... Check Want to see Jon up north... CHECK!

That first scene with Tyrion is his brain at his best!!!! What speech, and argument-counter argument... Well written! That scene just confirmed that Tyrion is my favorite character. I love seeing a brain in action so seamlessly.

"Strange wager for the captain..." He's explaining insurance company, but fraudulent ones ;-)

I find Sam's conversation with Olly very interesting

Jon is so bright with his diplomacy during the talk with the elders. He didn't call them Wildlings, he called them Free Folks. And the female actress is making such a great work to get us, in so little time, to feel more for a new character that was in our screen for less than 20 minutes than so many others we've seen in this show! WOW!

A White Walker is like the one that Jon killed with his Valyrian sword. The skeletons and undead army are called Wights.

Though as I've mentioned a few times before (stop me if it's annoying that I mention this), the White Walkers were usually called the Others in the books, White Walkers was just another less common name for those creatures that were barely more than myth when the show and books start. The show went with that name that was only used a few times in the books because the show Lost, which was extremely popular around the time Game of Thrones premiered on HBO, also had mysterious characters called "the Others". "Wights" has the same meaning in the book and show though, dead humans the Walkers/Others have raised from the dead.

I'm catching up with you on last week's episode too tonight, but the Sand Snakes, Oberyn's daughters by several mothers, are pretty universally hated by fans of the show and books. There's basically one line near the end of book 5 that promises to make Oberyn's kids' storyline interesting, but none of that part of their story happens at all in the show and we never got much of a payoff for it in the books either. It's funny that Pedro Pascal is famous for playing a beloved adoptive dad character in so many shows now, but in this show his character's biological kids are kind of the worst.

I gotta see where it goes, it's just been weird so far. I haven't seen any of TLOU S2, I really need to check it out
