Another great choice. Another great Billy Wilder movie to check out is Ace in the Hole think of it in an unofficial trilogy with Network and A Face in the Crowd. Also I love that in the Apartment all the guys Lemmon lends his apartment do not seem to enjoy or get really anything out of the trysts. Actually it just seems to be meaningless sex that is completely devoid of pleasure for anyone and seems to be more a hassle than anything. Again love the channel.

Reminds me of Mad Men Season 1 and Joan telling Roger she didn't want to become a real life Elevator Operator

Haven’t seen this movie in years, even though it’s in my streaming library. This movie is hard to put in a particular genre. Although I see it more as a drama I guess. Once again enjoyed your thoughts on an Academy Award film.

Sad for your lack of sleep but my-oh-my you are watching some of the best classicHollywood cinema. Another contender (with Some Like It Hot) for “best last line” list.

I absolutely agree. When you google the film (which I did beforehand to see the one criteria I need to decide if have time to watch a film on a given night: the length), it is characterized by Google as a romantic comedy, which with I completely disagree.
