Oh man, I'm really looking forward to this one. Saw it when it came out and it spawned a huge interest for me in reading about mountain climbing (with absolutely no desire to actually climb myself).

Oof, I’m with you guys, it’s a fantastic documentary but I couldn’t imagine doing anything like this. Never mind the insane physicality of climbing for days, or the risk of horrific injury – I don’t think I could stand being in the cold that long... I once made the mistake of waiting for a bus during a snowstorm for a couple of hours and that was bad enough. (It was my freshman year of college, thus an idiot. You’d think I’d know better, being from Wisconsin, but no.) On a mountain like that I’d be toast. From the intro – 2007/Transformers as the harbinger of cinematic decline – Ha! Yep, sounds about right.
