One of the most egregiously, purely selfish moments Tony has. There are a couple of moments in this show especially from Season 4 on, when David Chase goes out of his way to remind you that much as we like Tony, he’s pretty irredeemable. And that indicts us. It makes us culpable. Because he knows we’ll still watch next week. This is one of my favorite episodes of the show. Great episode for Tony, Christopher, Tony B, and Janice.

Yeah, this was a masterful episode. I was viscerally angry with Tony at the end, with his smug reaction to destroying dinner for purely selfish reasons.

The director of this episode was Mike Figgis, the Oscar nominated director and screenwriter of Leaving Las Vegas.

This episode has gotten VERY bad reviews from critics, I think it was funny since its shows how Tony S THINKS that he is "well-read" whn he isn't with the Revenge served Cold botched as "cold cuts". I thought it ALSO shows how NASTY he is- learned from his mother- by goading Janice at the meal after she is trying to better herself. He lashes out at Tony B and janice because he feels inadequate and guilty over Tony B going to jail while he was having panic attacks

THe actor who plays Vito- Joe Gannascoli- is a chef in real life and came up with the idea of being a gay mobster based on actual drama in the NYC Gambino crime family about how they dealt with that issue
