In a sad case of life imitating art, Robert Iler, the actor who played AJ, went off the rails a bit when the show ended. > Iler struggled with substance abuse, particularly after The Sopranos ended. He has been sober since 2013. In July 2001, Iler was arrested for the robbery of two teenagers in his Upper East Side neighborhood and for possession of marijuana. He pleaded guilty to a single charge of larceny and received three years' probation. He was present on October 23, 2005, when the underground poker club Ace Point was raided by the police; however, no charges were filed against him. < I listened to his interview on the Talking Sopranos podcast (episode # 7, recorded May 2020), and it sounds like he came out the other side of it thankfully. Iler returns for a later episode (# 84, recorded October 2021), but I didn't get to that one yet.

Julianna sure looks a lot like Gloria Trillo who hung herself after Tony ended their affair

Yikes. No joke, being a kid in Hollywood with so much praise, attention, and money heaped on you (especially for such a ling run on a hit show) could be so destructive.

AJ is Fredo not Michael even though the "mummy" line was clever...

Vito's sympathetic storyline almost makes us forget that he's the guy who shot Jackie Jr. in the head. Just a gangster like the rest of them.

You're right. I totally forgot that was him. Regardless, he is still absolutely a criminal like the rest of the crew.
