Actuarial Lurker

So now Tony does even WORSE than ruining Janice's anger management and Christopher's sobriety post-Vipers....he now takes this big doofus who plays with trains and shoots rappers in the butt and turns him into a murderer since he isn't like his father who was a hit man...Tony blames himself for AJ being a screw up and his own father for getting him into the "life" and now has to ruin one of the more benign guys he knows.... because he loved his wife who passed away and defends Janice and actually is able to kick Tony's ass

Brian Harris

David Chase is on record as saying he felt like for the first four seasons, the audience was rooting for Tony too much, that they didn’t see what a monster he actually was. That’s why he amped up Tony’s sociopathy these last few seasons. I personally think he’s been pretty irredeemable since he baited Janice out of anger management, maybe even before that. The episode where he beats Zellner with the belt was kind of a turning point too.

I get the nonstop preaching about Tony. But it’s also extremely naive to think a man in Bobby’s position in the mafia isn’t going to eventually encounter assignments like this—especially as he climbs the mafioso ladder. Bobby is one of my favorite characters, and yet, he’s never uttered a word about not wanting to be in organized crime.

I get that- but Bobby is a "Fredo" type who should be running strip clubs and numbers rackets- not "wet work"
