Thanks for the great ride. I would have loved a couple more episodes of 5, but they really packed it in. I probably think about this show every day of my life and it gets my eyes misty. I don't think there will ever be a show again that put that much work into being so real. My rankings are 4=3>1>2=5, but you will talk to Wire fans all over who have different answers. Bubbles, Omar, and Colvin are my favorite characters, but if you make a list you start looking at it and think "How in the hell is X at 15?" Absolutely masterful.

I think David Simon himself commented on the irony of Marlo's ending, how he is being punished by achieving everything Stringer ever wanted. Anyway, loved your reactions throughout the show. There's so much information given in various off-hand one-liners and I feel like you didn't miss a thing! One possible follow-up might be Generation Kill, a miniseries from David Simon and Ed Burns that was being made concurrently with The Wire's final season. I personally really loved Treme, but for some people it was too lowkey and slice-of-life.

Thank you for watching my favorite show of all time. This was my first time re-watching S5 and I enjoyed it more than I previously did. It was a joy to see Baltimore again with you both.

It's been a great ride watching my favorite show with you guys! I seriously hope you consider reacting to other David Simon projects. The Deuce, Treme, and Generation Kill are all tremendous shows. David Simon might be the best showrunner of the last 20 years.

I see a couple of your shows are finishing I really hope we might get Downton Abbey and/or The White Lotus : )

This is my favorite show of all time and these reactions did not disappoint. Nothing beats those end of season montages. Love that circle of life video edit, just brilliantly done. Thank you for all the great shows you guys pick cant wait to see what comes next. Please keep Generation Kill miniseries and Treme, Simons follow up HBO projects, on your radar because they are excellent as well.

Robert Bauman

Scott is the most detestable character on the show (which is saying something!). Sometimes the worst people get rewarded unfortunately. Love the parallels they show in the finale like you mention -Sydnor/Mcnulty complaining to the judge -Wee Bey/Chris as the drug hitmen serving time for everyone in their respective drug organizations -Bubbles/Duquan (such a depressing cut to Dukie btw) -Michael/Omar as the solo acts Probably missed a few more but those stood out.

Appreciate watching along with you guys. This is my first full rewatch of the Wire. Found you guys initially through the Mad Men re-watch. You'd think there would be more people doing re-watches of two of the greatest shows ever! Really appreciate your insights and was fun to experience the show again

Thank you so much for sticking with us through two of the greatest shows ever made. I can't tell which one I liked more but both MM and The Wire are for sure in my top 5.

I always loved this too. Another couple are Carver as the new Daniels and the reporter who wrote about Bubbles (never got his name) as the new Gus.

I enjoyed watching with you guys! This is my favorite series because I was so emotionally invested in these characters. Especially the kids! Bodie, Wallace, Michael, Dukie, Randy broke me. Sure when you watch a great series you don’t want your favorite character to die. But that’s mainly for the plot, you know? I still randomly think about the Dukies and Michaels of this world.
