Hi friends! We have created a list of every movie we've watched on the channel and included the upcoming movies as well. In this list you can see when the reaction was posted to Patreon, if there is an uncut version available, and how the movie was chosen. The list will stay pinned at the top of the page for easy access and will be updated regularly.

P.S. Visit justwatch.com to see where you can stream the movie. We'd add that info to the spreadsheet, but streaming services change their content all the time so we don't want to give you the wrong information.

Thanks for acting on the feedback, you really do love us, I don't care what "they" say! 🤣

2026-09-16 06:00 Excellent- thank you! Do you plan to institute an informal or formal cap on number of requests or prioritize those who haven't picked films yet? How about not making YT edits and making highlight reels instead so you save on editing time while still "recruiting" new Patrons?
2025-11-07 20:39 Excellent- thank you! EDIT: Deleted suggestions to avoid cluttering this space given your response below

Excellent- thank you! EDIT: Deleted suggestions to avoid cluttering this space given your response below

thank u next

On your last suggestion, I don't think so. People like to try before they buy. People have to know they actually like the product before they're willing to invest in it. Imo. I guess it depends on what you mean by "highlight reel". I found them from Mrs. Maisel and I liked them based on purely the youtube reaction. What made me jump to patreon was wanting early access, uncut and they happened to be the only ones on the face of the planet covering serious prestige shows like Mrs. Maisel, Mad Men, etc. They give high level commentary, not just "ooh cool". In-depth film knowledge, an appreciation for cinematography, technical feats, great script writing, plot development, etc. But if it was just a few clips, I don't know that I would've become as invested in the first place. And maybe that wouldn't have even been captured. Would've just maybe been a like and a scroll. But idk.

Youtalkingtome

We appreciate the thought you've put into this, but think of it this way. Cinebinge has 219K YouTube subscribers, we have 14K. They have a staff to edit their videos, we have the two of us. Our YouTube edits are what brings people to our Patreon page. I think Thank U Next is correct in thinking that people want to see what we're about in our YT edits before deciding to spend money on our content.

Actuarial Lurker

Understood- editing is a pain in the ass and we are always looking for ways to save you time!

Bean's friend

I'm just glad to see how responsive you are to the suggestions and comments. The list is a great start, and it's nice to see what some of the back catalog looks like. I do echo the vote for some level of ongoing YouTube edits, both to bring in new Patrons and because, absent access to our own copies of the selected shows/films - even if we've previously seen and loved them - it's not always appealing to rely on a watch along option. It's not even possible if you just want to catch a reaction on your phone. But anyhow, I'm hoping to be in a position to bump my membership level up before too long, and it looks like I'll have some things to look forward to when I do. In the meantime, I'm loving the content - just hope y'all don't burn yourselves out with all the edits.

Kari

Wow! I am sure this took a lot of work and is incredibly helpful! There are lots of great movies coming up! I am looking forward to Stardust in particular 😁. Thank you!!

Dipper

This is incredibly useful for a new subscriber, my love of the Newsroom is continuing to pay off. :) (I didn't say it on that thread, but your laughter response to "sup" was amazing and I probably replayed it like ten times). I have a lot of movies to watch this weekend.

Yasemin

Love the "Before" series (Before Sunrise etc) and also Hannah and her Sisters! :) Lots of good stuff on the list.

yann hollister

WOW that's alot more than i thought; very useful, thank you guys for all the hard work.

Lola Lirola

This is an amazing resource!! Thank you so much. (I just want to point out, I think you started doing Uncut versions earlier that it says in the file... I know because the Sparks Brothers was one I purchased and I know for sure you did an uncut version, and on the excel it says there isn't one! 😊)

Lola Lirola

This is true. But, if it helps, I had this conversation with FrankFreezy (a small channel reactor I recommend!) when he lamented not having many followers: You're never going to have MacDonald's levels of popularity, but you're going to be that incredible bistro that everyone recommends to their friends.

Embran

Sad to share my dad just passed away and on my own now at home. So will for a while have to put my subscriptions to patreons to free status. Including you guys. Even though cheap, it all adds up. Youtube and therefore your channel stays, so I continue to see edited ones there, like and comment. I am going to download the past movie reactions, but from December till undefined time the change. Because of this I thought can´t make a comment on Patreon either, no? Thanks for such a great escapism through you two honest reaction, input and insights. Until next time.

Actuarial Lurker

Joe and Kevin- 1. I know that you guard your privacy so understand if the answer is no. Was wondering if you felt the channel and its following was large enough to warrant a PO BOX? Other reactors open these up once they are large enough just in time for holidays. I realize that this may come across as crass cyber-begging as Walter White puts it and maybe that is why you might not want to do it other than revealing your general location 2. Any thoughts to doing periodic Patreon live streams? I know you wouldn't play movie clips since that would create copyright strikes, but just a general meet and greet for some personalized commentary ... Thanks!

Embran

Wow, would love that, but than even sadder I can´t participate. Though if it happens Halloween and for sure Christmas next year should work. Always great fun both on Patreon and on Youtube watching the one you subscribed to unpack. ^^

Embran

Thanks, Lurker.

Roland

So sorry for your loss Embran

Helene Ring Teppan

Smart!! Here are a few more: -The King's speech -The English Patient -Amelie -A very Long Engagement -The curious case of Benjamin Burton -The Help -Cold Mountain - Hidden figures - Max Manus The tv series : The Heavy water war. Very good Norwegian ww2 series with international connection in the landscape of Oppenheimer. Marie Antoinette (Sofia Coppola) Elizabeth (with Cate Blachet) Shakespeare in love Sliding doors Shooting Fish Four weddings and a funeral

acidnova

Lots of great movies here! They have watched Four Weddings and a Funeral on the channel, you should check it out!

Helene Ring Teppan

Thabnks. Yes, I know they would love all of these. ❤️ Yes, I know and forgot, silly me!!

Yankee Veg

I'm so sorry to hear that, Embran. I hope your memories of your Dad will ease your grief. Take good care of yourself. 💙

Embran

Thanks, Roland

Embran

Thanks for the kind words. On my own i will. But when family around constantly negative choices he made in life brought up. You would think one would wait with such conversations until after the funeral. Sigh. -_-

two pennies no waiting

This is a great list! I like so many of these movies I'll watch the few I haven't. I even just recently dm'd them about purchasing King's Speech to watch, I went with another movie but you have an ally in that one. In my dream world they'd watch the Kings Speech followed by the Crown haha

two pennies no waiting

It's quite the mountain of work represented here. Excited to find some older reactions I haven't watched yet and some future ones that you haven't yet 😁 Thank you!

Helene Ring Teppan

Thank you so much! ❤️ Hehe, yes, they have to do The Crown and Downton Abbey at some point. Good acting and beautiful movies, I think they would really enjoy it. I love that I have finally found a channel than watches the movies I like 😊😊

Suzanne Whyte

It looks like the guys have hit 15k subscribers over on YouTube. I’m not sure why it’s not 150k but they should celebrate with a poll full of movies that they have been wanting to watch but haven’t been able to or something.

JENNIFER E

The movies WRECKS me. Excellent choice.

Bedene Greenspan

Hi, enjoyed your reaction to 7 Brides. I was wondering what your take on the premise would be, but you handled it very well. By the way, the baby brother, Russ Tamblyn (who I had a huge crush on when I was a little girl) was also a star of the original West Side Story among many other things (like Twin Peaks in later years), and Tommy Rall (the guy in the red shirt who was also extremely athletic) is considered by many to be a seriously underrated dancer. Here's a really fun clip of him doing a dance-off with Bob Fosse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XE0AvrTjDD0&list=RDXE0AvrTjDD0&start_radio=1 I have a pretty short list of films I would love to see you react to, but am not sure when would be the best time to post it. I guess I should wait a bit.

Andrea Krehbiel

Do you guys have a similar list of TV shows that are on your roster? Wondering if Battlestar Galactica might be on your list.

Rob Bob

The next you guys have an opening for tv, please consider “Mrs. Davis”. It’s a wild, fun ride that is just 8 episodes long. Perfect filler, or slot into a limited series opening. I think you’d enjoy it, along with your fans. :)

Youtalkingtome

We really don't. We spend a lot of time and deliberation on new shows based on a number of factors, given the vastly greater time commitment to them: Number / length of episodes, recommendations, what kind of show is being replaced, etc.

Bekka NoyB

You guys should check out Rachel Getting Married. It's one of Jonathan Demme's final films. Anne Hathaway nabbed an Oscar nomination for her role. Also Ebert gave it 4 stars

I🖤Kraken

Thanks a million for adding T. S. Spivet, kind stranger! I've never heard of this movie before and you've solved my xmas shopping list. I'm buying everyone this for xmas!

Actuarial Lurker

Andrea- I've suggested they BOTH do Boardwalk Empire once Kevin is done with The Sopranos, I've also suggested they do Black Adder or Fawlty Towers since these are short. Many people have suggested they do Downtown Abbey or other BBC dramas...Foyle's War would be great once Band of Brothers is over since its about detectives in southern England and takes place DURING WW2, so the weekly crimes are war-related

Actuarial Lurker

Thanks- it is heavy and a Mary Tyler Moore drama tour de force when she is known for comedy which is why I love it

Ben Gilbert

You're welcome. I loved this movie when I first saw it and no one seems to have heard of it. It should have had a respectable art house run like Jeunet's better known Amelie but the Weinsteins botched its release. They bought it and sat on it for a year before dumping it on the market with no promotion. A friend who was a critic for a small alternative newspaper made sure I went to see it.

I🖤Kraken

May Mira & Max give their evil sons a good what-for in the next life. But I think it's absolutely magical that you could share this with us. I'm going to watch all of the director's works now. Thx again.

Ben Gilbert

Most of his films are in French. A Very Long Engagement is very good, and so is Amelie. Delicatessen is creepy and weird but good. City of Lost Children is weird SF.

I🖤Kraken

I've seen Amelie. It was beautiful and quirky and somehow reminded me of Little Voice. Can't wait for the others. Thx, Ben.

acidnova

I loved Foyle's War!

Actuarial Lurker

Just added Being There (1979) given that they loved Harold and Maude and this was also directed by Ashby and was equally intelligent....it won some awards which is an accomplishment in of itself given that it was up against Apocalypse Now, All That Jazz, Norma Rae, Breaking Away, Kramer vs Kramer, Alien, and Manhattan

Kate L.

New to the movie list, throwing on movies- “Casper” (95) “What If?” (Cmon! Dan Radcliffe rom com! What’s not to love? 😋) “P.S. I Love You” (the book is by Cecilia Ahern, who wrote the novel for “Love, Rosie”) The already requested “Sense and Sensibility” (the 95 film and the 2007 miniseries are both great… I’m very fond of how different they feel) Along that line - Northhanger Abbey, (2007) The plot isn’t as sophisticated because it’s technically Austen’s first novel. But the 07 cast is great Also The 1995 Persuasion- the 07 one isn’t terrible, it’s just this one’s better Short mini series- Elizabeth Gaskill’s “North and South” (basically Richard Armitage’s breakthrough role from 2004 and still one of his most beloved by his fanbase) And Out of all the Jane Eyre’s I’ve seen, (it has a TON of adaptations) The 06 miniseries is my fav. (Ruth Wilson/Toby Stephens, aka Maggie Smith’s son)

I🖤Kraken

I remember first discovering Richard Armitage in Vicar of Dibley of all places. Good actor.

Andy Schreiber

GREAT choice to add Being There! I haven't seen it in YEARS, so it'll be fun to re-watch with the guys.

Michelle Taylor

You could watch video clips live like WKRP Thanksgiving episode.

Ben Gilbert

I have a private list on Letterboxd where I keep possible movies to buy. I have to regularly remove films because you people keep purchasing them before I get a chance to buy them. Thanks to all of you for sharing your movies with us.

Ben Gilbert

The only other problem I have is that so many movies I want to share are not available for streaming and are only on DVD, like Cookie's Fortune by Robert Altman and Cold Comfort Farm and The Saragossa Manuscript.

Roland

One of Peter Sellers' finest performances, great addition.

Andy Schreiber

Delighted to see "Being There," which is a great movie I haven't seen since it first came out (yes, I'm just that old!), and Sinners, which I have been wanting to watch, on this list. Looking forward to them both, as well as so many others.

Rob Bob

I saw something in the woodshed!

Ben Gilbert

I found Cold Comfort Farm (1995) full movie on YouTube. I don’t know how legal the post is but it’s been up for 11 months.

Ben Gilbert

Bride and Prejudice is another great choice. It's a British production but it's done in the Bollywood style. The director also did Bend It Like Beckham.

acidnova

Oh wow, someone requested the Boy Who Could Fly? I remember seeing that pop up on the Disney channel when I was a kid and I cannot believe that anyone else even remembered that movie existed! I'll save my actual opinions on it for the reaction but I haven't seen it since probably the early 90s so it'll be an interesting one to rewatch

Heather

Have you guys seen Casablanca?

Chemical Em

some suggestions: cat people 1942 , the naked kiss 1964 , leave her to heaven 1945, night of the hunter 1955

acidnova

They've already seen Night of the Hunter. Not on the channel though. I was going to buy it and asked them about it. No idea if they've seen the other ones though.

Eurocheese

Thinking about purchasing one - have you seen Everything Everywhere All At Once, Inception and La La Land?

Actuarial Lurker

Yep- I did the Being There request about a week ago

I🖤Kraken

Gaaarrrp! Hooray! Love the book, love the movie. Thx, nice person.

Andy Schreiber

That was me, and I agree - both the book and the movie are wonderful.

I🖤Kraken

Thanks, Andy. Can't wait!

Andy Schreiber

I'm afraid we're all going to have to. The guys have such a LONG list of movies to get through - it's going to be a few months before they get to this one.

Kate L.

One of my favorite roles of his.

Erica

Okay, so i might not be able to buy all of these, but let me know if you've ever seen the following: -Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) -The Science of Sleep (2006) -Be Kind Rewind (2008) They're not related in plot or setting or anything, but they all have the same director and i love them all so much

Andy Schreiber

"And the Band Played On" - great choice! It's a very important film, absolutely beautifully realized. Thank you to whoever selected it!

Manzell Blakeley

Just came to recommend "The Apostle" (1997). Written, Directed, and starring Robert Duvall, got an Oscar nom for best actor. Very much a 'Great American Film'.

Manzell Blakeley

And while I'm at it: Anywhere But Here w/ Susan Sarandon and Natalie Portman, and Ghost World with Scarlett Johannsen.

JC

I just watched your 10 things I hate about you reaction and think you guys might really enjoy SAVED!

Ben Gilbert

I saw Saved in the theater and really enjoyed it.

Ben Gilbert

I added 2000's Wonder Boys to the list. It has Iron Man, Spider-man, and Hank Pym together in the same movie pre-MCU. From a Michael Chabon novel.

I🖤Kraken

Beat me to it! Yay! Thanks.

Maud Douglas-Andersson

Would love for you to sometime either do The Worst Person In The World or Sentimental Value, both Joachim Trier movies, I’m expecting several academy nominations for Sentimental Value this January!

Chemical Em

movie suggestion: rabbit proof fence

Andy Schreiber

SO glad to see "The Holdovers" on the list. (Apparently it won the Christmas film poll.) I saw it in the theater and absolutely loved it. I look forward to re-watching it.

Jonathan

The writer/director of the movie graduated from the same screwy Christian school I did.

Divinerights

I watched this a long time ago. Still stuck with me

JENNIFER E

Yes! Big thanks to whoever bought that one.

Cristy

After the terrible news of Rob Reiner (may he rest in peace). I hope that we'll get a movie poll, guys. There are so many good ones to choose from including The American President.

Roland

Be Kind, Rewind is such a great feelgood movie, and I think the lads are just about old enough to know what VHS is.... :D Swede me up, baby!

Erica

Michel gondry is so great at crafting bittersweet stories with unforgettable visuals. I rewatched eternal sunshine for the first time in over a decade the other day and it was just as affecting as 8t was originally

Youtalkingtome

Our next poll will definitely be the works of Rob Reiner.

Cristy

Whoever put Bride and Prejudice on the movie list, I love you!

acidnova

Have they ever seen Pride and Prejudice? They haven't watched it on the channel

Cristy

Not on here but they might have already seen it, not sure. Maybe someone will buy it.

Cristy

I'm so excited to watch it with them.

Andy Schreiber

There are SO many good choices among Reiner's oeuvre. No matter which one wins the poll, it will be great. The loss of him is just devastating. He was a truly fine man.

Youtalkingtome

I have never seen any version pf P&P. I read the novel in college, though.

Cristy

My fave version is definitely from 1995 but it's a series not a movie.

Cristy

Have you guys seen any of the Knives Out movies?

Youtalkingtome

We have both seen the first two. We have not seen the new one.

Cristy

It might be good for a mystery poll, I really enjoyed it.

Lola Lirola

Wait, hang on, you havent watched Eternal Sunshine?!? Dammit, Im gonna have to sabe now

Andy Schreiber

Oh, wow - you watched Misery! (I'm assuming as a late addition to honor Rob Reiner). Can't wait to see you guys react to this AMAZING film.

Youtalkingtome

Yes, I was probably never going to watch it (not a fan of body horror), but Rob Reiner’s tragic death changed my mind. And it’s a great movie!

Andy Schreiber

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the genre either, but I actually view this more as a thriller, and as you said, it's a GREAT movie, with incredible performances by Bates and Caan.

Suzanne Whyte

Are you guys going to do a YouTube edit for The Wind That Shakes the Barley? I haven’t seen it posted over on YouTube.

Bekka NoyB

You guys should really check out Home For The Holidays & Nothing Like The Holidays sometime. Both have great casts and are underrated gems.

Suzanne Whyte

James Ransome, Ziggy from the Wire, has passed away. Very sad news. He was a very talented guy.

Youtalkingtome

I just saw that. How truly awful. I hate how the world keeps taking such talented people under these tragic circumstances.

Joy M

I was considering purchasing Midnight in Paris. Have you seen it? Do you object to watching Woody Allen movies?

Youtalkingtome

We haven’t seen it. We have no objection to Woody Allen’s films. We recently watched Annie Hall.

JVTrickypants

I just have to throw out one of my favorite movies of all time, Inherit the Wind with Spencer Tracy. It's about an actual case in the 20s where a town in Tennessee arrested a biology teacher for teaching evolution...the case is called The Scopes Monkey Trial. Tracy plays Clarence Darrow, who defended Scopes, and Fredrich March plays the preacher/prosecutor Williams Jennings Bryant. The best part of the film is that the majority of the courtroom dialogue is taken directly from the trial record and it is RIDICULOUS - "I don't think about the things I don't think about. "Do you think about the things you DO think about?" (no spoiler, just actual lines that were really said in the trial).

JVTrickypants

May I also ask what the No/Yes column means?

Ben Gilbert

It also has Gene Kelly as a journalist based on H.L. Mencken and a young Dick York (Bewitched) as the defendant. It is one of Roger Ebert's "Great Movies."

Youtalkingtome

It indicates if there is an uncut version as well as a watch-along version.

Luis

Fun thing with The American President is I remember hearing that Martin Sheen was not the first choice for Bartlett and again he was supposed to be a small character. But they shot the pilot or did read throughs with their first choice and the vibes weren’t right so they changed it. I’ve always thought that first choice was Michael Douglas.

Marla Mize

Hi Joe and Kevin, could you add two Daniel Day-Lewis films to your polls, "My Left Foot" 1989 and "Room With A View" 1985. They are both exquisite!

JVTrickypants

And Colonel Potter as the judge!!

Clare Manion

Thank you so much to whoever purchased The Purple Rose of Cairo! Excellent choice!

Actuarial Lurker

Just added "The Killing Fields" (1984) to the purchase request queue

acidnova

That's a movie I've been meaning to see for a long time! It'd be cool if one day it was added to the list!

acidnova

Hi there! Just commenting to let you know that you accidentally posted this to the wrong thread if you want to copy/paste this to the right one.

I🖤Kraken

Oh how I wish I could buy you Mindwalk (1990.) It's one of the smartest, most comforting movies I've ever seen since I was a kid. Unfortunately, it's not streaming anywhere. If anyone wants to watch it, it is on YT. I highly recommend it!

Rob Bob

Also highly, highly recommend Mindwalk on YouTube. :)

Cristy

Thank you to whoever bought Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I love that movie so much.

Kate L.

That was me. 😉❤️

Kate L.

There’s only 1 P&P I don’t like, and it’s the 81 one. Tooo slow. My fav Darcy is actually Laurence Olivier, yes, I know, despite the Hollywood influence on the plot. He nails him. I do love the 95, and the 05, and so many. I even like the Mormon 03 one. 🤣 It grows on you. I do wish more people would react to 1995, but the pace is truthfully a tad slow unless you really understand the era, and it’s 6 hours. “Bride and Prejudice” is so clever, I went out of the box. I love Gurinder Chada’s work. “Bend it Like Beckham” is great too.

Cristy

Thanks for picking it, I love it so much. I love Bend It Like Beckham too, that would be a great reaction as well.

Cristy

Set It Up! All my romcom dreams have come true. And Dave too, so much good taste in movies.

acidnova

Ooh, someone bought Hard Boiled! That'll be fun! Not too many movies like that on the channel yet so it'll be a nice departure.

Suzanne Whyte

The new banner is looking good. I like the design.

Lola Lirola

Me! 🙋‍♀️ It was my go-to Favorite Movie of All Time right until Everything Everywhere topped it (but I think they share quite a bit of DNA). Can't wait! Hope to see you there!

Lola Lirola

Oh, can I point out... The uncut versions start way earlier than it says on the excel! There's at least a dozen movies that do indeed have an uncut reaction on the channel, but the excel says "no". (I know because I've just watched some of them! they're there!). Not the most important thing in the world, but if you want to be very accurate, check around Sleeping Beauty, uncut reactions started somewhere around then.

Lola Lirola

Bend it Like Beckham is so great!

Lola Lirola

I just went to check, and the first movie with an uncut version should be A League of Their Own (number 153), onwards, not number 219!

Cristy

Thank you, Lola! You're doing God's work for us.

Helene Ring Teppan

I am gonna suggest the following movies, som again. I know you will like them, so I am not giving up 😊 A Very Long Engagement (Brilliant, quirky and French) Amelie (You have probably seen it, same director) The English Patient (Anthony Minghella who made The talented Mr. Ripley) The Help (Brilliant brilliant about the life with with folks and black help in post war American south) Cold Mountain (Minghella again) Moonrise Kingdom (Ves Anderson!) The Grand Budapest Hotel (more Wes) Shooting Fish (Great British movie form the early 2000s) La Vie en Rose (biographical movie about the life of Edith Piaf) Max Manus (Master piece about Norway's greatest ww2 resistance hero, unbelievable story) Bridge of Spies (Spielberg, Hanks and post war espionage) Legends of the fall (Real family drama, still makes me cry, lots of great acting) The Queen (The crises that followed Diana's death and the royal families reactions too it that was not on par with the people's) The Shipping news (Brilliant and quirkey movie, quite frankly hard to describe) A series of unfortunate events, Lemony Snicket. (Jim Carey at his best, also hard to describe, fairy tale is maybe the best. Very cool)

Cristy

Yes! Amelie is in my top ten movies of all time, I'd love it if the guys watched it.

Helene Ring Teppan

If you like it, you have to see A very long engagement! Same main actress and same director ❤️

Ben Gilbert

If you liked Amelie I bought another movie by the same director, The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivett. It's still a month or so down the road though.

Helene Ring Teppan

Oh, sorry, I really don't like that movie, might be the only one I don't like of Junet. Not sure why.

Roland

I know I'm not alone in not even trying to keep up with your movie output, which is impressive. There's so many great movies on there, and so many more than I know little or nothing about. But I do like to dip my toe in for myself, and also to identify movies that I'd like to watch alongside my wife. This is rarely your most recent movie, more likely something from a month or three previously. I look at your Google Sheet and then can go into Posts and use the Search bar to find the movie I'm interested in. To that end, I'd like to suggest that you add some information, either to the Google Sheet, or possibly as a comment post under the Watch-Along and/or Uncut: 1. Identification of which streaming service you used to watch the movie for free, or whether you purchased the movie from Amazon or elsewhere. 2. Marks out of ten from each of you, or preferably a couple of lines of comment, or ideally even a short video where you give a brief summary of your viewing experience, just a minute or two would be fantastic. Any of this would greatly help people decide if the movie is worth their time or not.

Roland

It's actually coming back to some theaters at the end of this month for a few days. I've never seen it, I should probably make a pilgrimage. :D

acidnova

Fold a paper crane and take it with you :) (you'll understand the reference when seeing the movie)

acidnova

FYI there's a great website, justwatch.com where you can input a movie or show and it tells you what streaming services has it available. And the site is also available in a lot of countries, not just the US.

Roland

Oh that's fantastic info, the lads should add that to their sticky post. Thanks!

Roland

The movie I purchased is leaving at the end of the month, the lads mayyybe will get to it before then. :D

Cristy

Great ideas, Roland! I like the idea of the marks out of ten for each movie.I know the guys are so busy but I'd love to see them do a video with their top ten (or top five) fave movies from last year because they saw so many. Only if they have the time of course.

Roland

I dunno if marks out of ten would be the most useful system, but any simple feedback from J&K would be great.

Bekka NoyB

they need to check out The Accountant 1 & 2

Cristy

Even if it's in your own time you guys should check out The Rip on Netflix with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, I loved it. Also, yes to Much Ado About Nothing. Talk about a stacked cast.

Koko

May I ask, if you have seen "A Knights Tale" with Heath Ledger? It's not an accurate depiction of the knights era of course but I love it nonetheless and was thinking of purchasing it.

Cristy

Hey, Koko, I asked them once as I was considering it but from memory they said they hadn't. Such a great film idea.

Youtalkingtome

Cristy is correct, we haven't seen A Knight's Tale.

Youtalkingtome

Thanks! We might put it on a poll in the near future.

Just Lily

Whoever purchased Jane Eyre 2011 you are my hero!

Ben Gilbert

Yes, I haven't seen this version.

Ben Gilbert

I don't watch many of the TV shows. Just Band of Brothers, Pushing Daisies and Severance. Some of the films that I've already seen or are not as interested in, I watch the edited YouTube version.

Ben Gilbert

I've added Babette's Feast to the list.

Just Lily

It's the best one 🤗

Clare Manion

Oh thank you! That was me. I’m so glad others are looking forward to it as well :)

Andy Schreiber

A few new movies added to the list that I'm really pleased to see - Flirting With Disaster is SUCH an underappreciated gem. Some truly memorable performances, and really a fun romp. And Radio Days - a very different side of Woody Allen, and one of my favorites of his. I think you guys will really love both of them. Radio Days was also on my short list of titles to purchase in the future, so thank you to whoever did that for me!

Cristy

Backdraft and Ever After!!! Everyone has great taste in movie.

Joy M

I love Backdraft! I must watch it once a year:

fire12wife

I purchased both of those movies! I'm so excited for everyone to see them!

fire12wife

I don't see Mr. Holland's Opus (1995) on the list. You guys watched it right after Blast from the Past (1999)!

JENNIFER E

I truly thought I was the only person in the world who loved Flirting with Disaster. This sparks joys!

fire12wife

Backdraft is my favorite Kurt Russell movie, which says a lot because I LOVE OVERBOARD... and in both of The Christmas Chronicles movies, Kurt is the sexiest man to ever play Santa Claus! He even sings on the movie soundtrack!!!

mckles

I am so confused. Is this the only place I can comment, question, or complain? I liked Joe & Kevin's reactions on youtube well enough to become a member here on Patreon. A really cheap-ass member since I only went for the $2 membership just to check this out.

mckles

continued. . . $2 membership to start and I have a couple questions. Not sure anyone will see this let alone reply but here goes. Is there any way to blow past all the YT stuff? And is there a way to search for a movie? I saw Pontypool when I first opened this up but it seems to have disappeared. Also, why would anyone pay $90 for an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Or any other show for that matter. I didn't pay that much for all the episodes of GOT. First time here and I'm whining already. But only $2 worth. Wait until I upgrade. Major missives to come. Hee hee hee.

Ben Gilbert

Joe and Kevin choose the TV shows themselves. No one buys them. They may have polls occasionally, but ultimately they pick the shows.

Ben Gilbert

To search, click on the Posts header at the top. On the Posts page there should be a Search Posts box right near the top. This is for the browser window. Things may be arranged differently on the Patreon App.

acidnova

FYI, at this time, they only have just released the full-length versions of Pontypool. The youtube edits come much later and will also be available here before being posted to youtube. At the $2 tier, you can't actually watch the full-length reactions but you can watch the youtube edits that are available here.

Actuarial Lurker

Leslie- you need to be at the $7 or higher tier to unlock the full versions. If and when you do they release an "uncut" version to see their reaction and a "watch-along" version for you to synch up a copy that YOU have and watch along. A few days later they post a You Tube version here which is what eventually gets posted on that platform The $90 donations are for you to pick a full movie for them to watch. If you click on the top list it pulls a up a google spreadsheet that youy can scroll through and see what has been posted or what is in the queue. These guys are crazy and watch 3 or 4 movies a week on top of the various TV series despite having real jobs, so you can estimate how long to wait for a movie in the queue by counting off how far down it is and dividing by 3 or 4! As Ben and AcidNova posted there is a search icon on the posts tab if you are on a laptop- I watch on my Macbook- and you can type in anything to find the old series they already did like Mad Men or The Good Place If you click on the chat link on the left menu bar you can send them a direct message just like you would do on Facebook or other social media- it acts like an email system...thats where you can tell them what movie you'd like to watch for the purchased requests, say hello, ask tech questions etc. Hope that helps

Actuarial Lurker

Leslie- welcome! one of the "super patrons" that you hear them read off. You need to be at the $7 a month or higher level to "unlock" the content. They are watching something like 6 or 7 TV shows at a time and 3-4 movies a week, so springing for that extra $5/month will get you something like 12-15 movies each month, 10+ TV ongoing shows AND their back catalog of dozens of TV series and the close to 300 movies that they already have watched in the last 18 months.... I suggest you spring for the extra $5 to look around for a month. Other Patreon creators charge $10 a month and don't do half of what they do... We've got people from all over the US, Europe, Australia on here and they all have very good taste in movies. The use polls to pick the TV shows and also some of the movies- like when Rob Reiner died to tribute watch alongs

Actuarial Lurker

In terms of their responsiveness Joe and Kevin are both night owls- they live in the US Midwest (Central TIme Zone) and are usually posting things in the evening presumably after work and most of the night. They drop things on here at 2am or even 8am which I assume is before they head off to their real jobs. Every message on here goes to their inbox- I'm on 3 or 4 Patreons and thats how all of them work- so they just respond as they get them usually within a few hours... This particular comment section under the movie list has morphed into a general chat room, so you DID post in the right place. You will also be glad that they enforce civility- we don't have trolls and haters like on YouTube and people on here are very friendly! The few times someone has posted racist things, cursing at other people etc they have been banned- so the good thing about paying for this is to get away from all the creepy stuff on other social media

Ben Gilbert

They do more reactions than some channels with multiple teams of reactors.

acidnova

It is genuinely wild how much content they post regularly. Sometimes they'll drop 3 movie reactions in a single day! And then they'll throw in a TV reaction for good measure!

Lola Lirola

So I was rummaging through the Excel file (truly an amazing resource, thank you guys for all the work!!) and I noticed a couple of nitpicks in the data, so I thought I'd let you know so you can update it next time you have to modify the list - One Battle After Another (row 358) has been already posted on January 31st, but it's marked unwatched on the list. - Pi (row 264) is still unwatched, but it seems to be forgotten up there. Was this someone who later changed their pick, or is it still on queue to be watched? - The first movie with an uncut version should be A League of Their Own (row 153), and all the rest onwards, not row 219. That's 66 movies that have an uncut version but are listed as Not!

acidnova

Hi there! I'm the one who purchased Pi. It's not forgotten. After I bought it, I had an idea that it might be fun for them to watch on or around March 14th (3/14 aka Pi day) and they agreed so it's just on hold for the time being per my request.

Youtalkingtome

This is what happens when you use cheap (read free) administrative help. :) We'll go through and make sure everything is accurate but it may take a couple of days. Thanks Lola!

Lola Lirola

No problem! As far as I know, there are no other errors, so don't worry too much!

GDF

On the right where it says Gift Membership for me, it says Search Posts. I just put Uncut on there or anything specific I want.

Roland

It's great to learn that there are many more Uncut movies, hopefully the updated list will include the ones that I wasn't able to see previously!

Lola Lirola

I mean, the Uncut versions are on the channel, so you could always see them. They just weren't on the list. If you were browsing the list to find something to watch, it would have misled you, but if you were browsing the channel itself, they were there.

Tara

Thank you for Ever After! I was miffed it missed out on the fairytale poll but was hoping someone else would purchase it.

Ben Gilbert

I added the 1968 musical Oliver! to the schedule. Best Picture and Best Director winner. Also an honorary award for Oona White’s choreography.

Roland

Who could ask for more! :) And Oliver Reed in cracking form of course.

Ben Gilbert

You couldn't ask for a better Bill Sikes.

Andy Schreiber

Great choice! It's a wonderful screen adaptation of a very strong musical, the inherent antisemitism of Dickens' work notwithstanding.

Ben Gilbert

They do make Fagin more likeable than in David Lean's 1948 version. It was excellent but those prosthetics on Alec Guinness to emphasize his Jewishness was off-putting and diminished his performance. I think they must have been copying illustrations from the book.

Youtalkingtome

I just noticed that we had a couple of Buffy reactions mistakenly listed for sale for $90. The box probably got checked when we were creating the You Pick Its and we didn't catch it when uploading the episodes, but it's been corrected. At the $7 and $15 tiers, all full length reactions are included at no extra cost.

Actuarial Lurker

Just added "Serial Mom" (1994)....given the dark tone of some of my other picks

Ben Gilbert

One of my favorite John Waters movies.

Roland

I'm confused, are you saying that there are Uncut versions of the earliest entries, I thought that there weren't? (Or maybe some more Uncut entries have been added now?) (For example, I ran a search for (the excellent!) Attack The Block, and it's available as a Watch-Along and YouTube Edit versions only as far as I can tell. If and when J&K get some assistance, could the earlier watched movies that didn't originally have an Uncut option be 'restored' in that way?

Lola Lirola

As far as I know (and if anyone has information, please correct me): Older movies don't have an Uncut version, because back then there were all sorts of copyright notices for everyone, even on Patreon. I think older movie reactions can't be "restored" to Uncut because they delete their recording backlog regularly to make room (which makes total sense), and they'd have to re-buy/rent the movies in order to sync them again, which would be bankrupcy because it's around 150 movies! At some point, Patreon started being safer from copyright notices, so they and many others started doing the Uncut/Sync versions on here. This was around the time they did Sleeping Beauty (that's when I found out, at least). From then on, all movies here have an Uncut version. The only discrepancy is in the Excel file: in the google file, the "and from here on, all movies have an Uncut version" line was accidentally set much later than it actually happened. And so, about 60-something movies appear in the Excel as "Uncut version: no", when they should be "Uncut version: yes", because if you search them on the actual channel, the Uncut is there. The issue is on the Excel, not the channel. If you search the channel, and there's no Uncut, then there isn't one. The only scenario where you'd be misled is if you browse just the Excel for something to watch, and decide not to because it says there's no Uncut, but on the channel it actually is. Am I making sense? (I feel this is convoluted and English is not my first language).

Andy Schreiber

I LOVE Serial Mom! Not my favorite John Waters, but I'm not sure that the best John Waters movies would ever make it to YouTube edits for Joe & Kevin - they'd have to cut so much out the whole video would be like 5 minutes long.

Todd Rush

I joined a couple days ago at the seven dollar level. Is there a way to open the actual Google doc? I can do it on my phone, but there is no Google doc link at least as far as I can see when I try it on my laptop. I’ve tried hovering, poking, prodding, crying, deep breathing, but still get nothing. And being that it’s not in alphabetical order, it is a nightmare to scroll through. What am I doing wrong?

Luis

You could probably select all and create a duplicate.

Ben Gilbert

Can you download it on your phone and then open it in another app? Or maybe email it to yourself to open it on another device?

Todd Rush

Thanks to you both. I ended up downloading it on my phone and sending it to my laptop - as Ben suggested - and it works! It’s actually great because you can sort in alphabetical order or however you wanna do it. I just thought there must be a way that I’m too stupid to figure out on my laptop. Thanks again!

Courtney

🎉this Baltimoron (I said what I said) is excited!

Koko

Thank you so much for purchasing Ever After. I asked the guys if they've seen it which resulted in the Fairytale Pole that got us Tangled. I love Tangled but was thinking about purchasing Ever After. It is my absolute favourite movie forever and ever 😍 (I will purchase a Knights Tale instead)

Cosmic Slice

I need y'all to consider Call the Midwife for a TV show to give me an excuse to start watching, lol. Lots of content if you want a long running show....

Roland

Thanks!

Courtney

If I request the new Wuthering Heights in advance for the laughs, exactly how many virtual fruits am I going to get thrown at me? Just asking hypothetically ;)

acidnova

Oh! someone bought The Thin Man! I feel like that one is slowly making its way around reaction channels and I could not be more thrilled!

Clare Manion

Lol! Maybe just a few comically-oversized strawberries for good measure… As a Bronte fan I can’t say I’m on board with this “adaptation” — but I am rather curious to see it :)

Youtalkingtome

I read Wuthering Heights years ago. When I saw the trailer, I thought "this is absolutely not the novel."

Clare Manion

And you're absolutely correct! :)

Ben Gilbert

That was me. I was wavering between The Thin Man and Dinner at Eight, but decided on this one. I love Nick and Nora and Asta.

fire12wife

I added two more to the list yesterday... Pete's Dragon (1977) Mystic Pizza (1988) Pete's Dragon is an old Disney movie that my husband and I both grew up watching. Our son loved it too, and watched it all the time! Mystic Pizza is the movie that was filmed one town over from where I grew up in CT! It stars a very young Julia Roberts two years before 'Pretty Woman'! My Uncle was actually in the movie. He was an extra sitting at the bar at the Peg Leg Pub! (14:56) His two-second claim to fame!!! LOL! Mystic is such a beautiful place. It's right on the coast in SE Connecticut. You should absolutely go if you get the chance! Especially in the fall, it's so beautiful with the leaves changing! Just thinking about it makes me homesick! So excited for Joe & Kevin's reactions, and for y'all to watch them with me!

dys

Pete's Dragon was a childhood favorite for me too, curious to see how it holds up. Haven't seen the remake.

fire12wife

My husband and I tried to watch the 2016 remake, but couldn't get through it. It was so dark!

Lola Lirola

I mean... I would hatewatch it for the lolz. I have translated Charlotte Brontë's books into Spanish, so I am insanely curious, but I also fear I'll have an aneurysm if I try to take it seriously. I despair that a whole generation of girls seem to now think Heathcliff is a kinky dom, 50-shades-of-Brontë style, but if we can all cry to the heavens together, I *am* curious!

E.Shelby House

EXCELLENT ECLECTIC COLLECTION! My one plug on joining is "Sex, Lies and Videotape" 1989, written and directed by Steven Soderbergh. Starring: James Spader, Andie MacDowell, Peter Gallagher & Laura San Giacomo. My NO SPOILER PLUG: Sex, Lies, and Videotape won the Palme d'Or at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival, making Soderbergh the youngest solo director to win the award; he was 26 at the time. The film was influential in revolutionizing the independent film movement in the early 1990s. In 2006, Sex, Lies, and Videotape was added to the United States Library of Congress' National Film Registry, deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Carl Lyngholm

Hope you finish the "Before Trilogy" at some point. Frankly, I find it a bit odd you watched the first two within a week of each other and never got around to watching the third one. Granted, this was only back in January, but I also don't see it on the (substantial) coming list. I haven't actually watched your reactions to the first two yet, so maybe there just no interest in finishing? Otherwise, really enjoying going through "The Wire" again with you guys.

Ben Gilbert

Someone paid for the first two. Maybe at some point they'll buy the third.

acidnova

They really enjoyed the first two movies but no one has bought the third. At this point, they have such a huge backlog of purchased movies, they don't have a whole lot of room to choose their own! They still do polls and such so there are still movies that they watch that weren't a purchase. We're just kind of guilty of overloading them a bit (myself included!) :)

acidnova

I enjoyed Pete's Dragon as a kid, too! As a kid born in the early 80s, I grew up on a lot of those classic children's movies from the 60s and 70s (and older ones, of course). There's a certain charm to that era for me.

dys

I kinda think the purchases shouldn't dominate their movie-watching schedule quite as much, but if they watched fewer of them per week that backlog would only get longer. It is very cool that that system gets some deserving movies that would never win any poll in their lineup but it also means their movie lineup skews towards ones that only a small percent of us are interested in.

Lola Lirola

I really hope so too. The third one has really interesting things to say, and I want to see the comments!

Lola Lirola

Oooh, I have *a take* on that movie, so I hope they watch it! If nothing else, it's very interesting and fun.

Jonathan

Thanks to whoever paid for Pete’s Dragon, another one I don’t have to pick from on my list.

acidnova

Waitress!!! Thanks to whomever bought that one! I'd like to send you a slice of pie!

Luis

Such a sad tale.

dys

Thanks to whoever bought Come From Away, that one's pretty special to me.

Andy Schreiber

The Pink Panther! I noticed when I watched your reaction to Being There (which I greatly enjoyed - I hadn't seen the movie since it first came out) that you said you hadn't seen any of the original Pink Panther films. I think you'll greatly enjoy this, the very first in the series. I look forward to it.

Roland

Such a great movie!

Ben Gilbert

It's a great movie but my favorite Clouseau film is the second one, A Shot in the Dark, which started out as a completely unrelated play, that they added Clouseau to. It's also the first film that we get Herbert Lom as Clouseau's superior.

Andy Schreiber

Oh, absolutely! And Lom is absolutely deliciously funny in the role.

Kate L.

Agreed. I mean, it did give me massive 9/11 flashbacks because I was in my senior year only 45 min away, but the respect it showed toward the whole tragedy is next level. There’s a reason it lasted on Broadway as long as it did. It so deserved it.

Chemical Em

suggestion: the love witch (2016)

GDF

Genuinely wasn't expecting to see Glen Powell in Hidden Figures (2016). Makes me more excited for Set It Up (2018) where he finally shows everyone he can be more than just a side character, and then after that starts blowing up in fame because he starts getting more roles offered after that film.

Luis

He’s a force in Everybody Wants Some! A force.

Rob Bob

Shout out, and a heart felt thanks, to whoever has put A Little Princess on the list. Truly criminal how overlooked and underappreciated that film is, and I thought about buying it for the guys myself. I chose *batteries not included for the heartbreaking performances from real life couple Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy. I have since put two others on the list, opting for laugh-out loud comedy, and intense neo-noir, but I always wanted to circle back to this amazing gem. 💎

Andy Schreiber

I'm very curious about A Little Princess. I grew up on the original Shirley Temple version, and loved it as a child, so I'll be fascinated to see how they've adapted it for this more modern version. I do see from looking it up on IMDB that they kept the bones of the story intact, as well as the period.

dys

I saw the Shirley Temple version as a small child (which was made decades before I was born) and I had read the book. And then I saw this 1995 Alfonso Cuaron version in the theater, when I was 9 years old. There were a few scenes that were too scary for me at that age. Since then Alfonso Cuaron has become one of my favorite directors, so I’m excited to revisit this movie that scared me as a kid, from a director whose work I came to love as an adult.

Ari.g

hopefully we get a reaction to the musical proshot as well at some point!

acidnova

I also grew up on the Shirley Temple version but I really like this one as well. What's funny is that, apparently, there are a lot of older films that local stations got B&W copies of that they would air on TV. Can't remember if it was cheaper or because at the time a lot of people still had B&W TVs but then those stations just kept those versions and aired them for ages. I had only ever seen it on TV in B&W and one year I decided to look for it on streaming on my laptop. At first, I was mad because I thought it had been colorized but the opening credits said it was made by Technicolor so I looked it up and realized that this movie I'd only ever seen in B&W as a kid was actually a color movie! But it seemed so garish compared to my memory so I literally set my computer screen to B&W and watched it that way. Maybe I'm weird but I can't watch it in color! And this is coming from someone who was born in the 80s!

Andy Schreiber

That's so funny - in my mind it was B&W also, though I see that it was in fact filmed in Technicolor. I was born in a decade a bit earlier than you were (no need to do the math here ;-)) so when I first saw it, at a very young age, we probably didn't yet have a color television set in our house. Now I almost feel like re-watching it so I can experience it in full Technicolor!

Stephanie Bedworth

I just noticed that someone purchased Brotherhood of the Wolf. Kudos to you, whoever you are.

Taniaxxxx

I did, it really shook me as a kid, so always a film I LOVE to see people watch, though the Shirley Temple version is lovely too, this version kindles my heart 💓

Just Lily

I hope you'll check out Steve Martin in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) at some point

Andy Schreiber

To Catch A Thief!!! GREAT! Fantastic movie that I haven't seen in many years. Grace Kelly AND Cary Grant together? I mean - come on! Perfection. Also - when last I saw it I had never been to that area, and since then I have been many times, for work, so it will be great to see it the way it looked so many years ago. Looking forward!

Roland

Excellent shout!

Roland

What was your intense neo-noir selection?

I🖤Kraken

Just finished season 2 of Paradise and wow. Just wow! The head writer said they're only creating one more season to wrap up the show and I think you guys would love it. It's got many of the components of shows you seem to like and it is phenomenal.

Rob Bob

Dead Again Ruthless People was my other choice. I find it interesting that ZAZ’s trifecta of spoof films (Airplane!, Top Secret!, and The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!) are still highly revered, but this just-as-funny black comedy is barely mentioned anymore. I chalk it up to RP being more “of it’s time” while the spoofs aren’t so beholden to a particular decade, maybe?🤷‍♂️

Carl Lyngholm

So... I'm curious. How do you guys determine the order of what you're going to watch. At the top of the list is (obviously) everything you've watched up until this point (or mostly everything which brings me to my question). Following this, is the "Coming Soon" section which is mostly a wall of yellow with the occasional movie that's been "Watched" to break it up but it's seemingly not in a "first come, first serve" order that would make intuitive sense to me. So is it basically, you take a look at the list and just decide what your in the mood to watch? Respectfully, this doesn't seem especially fair for someone who buys a movie to be skipped over in this fashion (if in fact, this is what happens). Sure it's "Coming Soon", but given the size of your backlog "Soon" is a fairly relative term. I don't know, maybe this is just something I'm personally "hung up" on. But (again), I am curious.

Luis

I'm pretty sure it is First come first served with the exception of poll winners which get watched about a week after the poll closes which is why you have some Watched far down the list.

Youtalkingtome

Luis is correct. We watch in sequence of when a movie is purchased (for the most part; there are small variations for length). The late adds are poll winners and solo projects.

Cristy

Very excited for the 80s bangers Ruthless People and Mystic Pizza! Thank you for picking these.

Stephanie Bedworth

I’m getting very excited cause it looks you’re getting close to my movie pick!

Stephanie Bedworth

I’ve actually been very interested to check the remake of The Running Man that he stars in.

JENNIFER E

This is a Space Camp away from my childhood movie rotation.

Ben Gilbert

Yay! Meet Me In St. Louis is one of my favorite movies! Stage Door is another great pick and I'm looking forward to Wicked: For Good!

Actuarial Lurker

Looks like we will be getting my selection of "the Killing Fields" any day now!

Andy Schreiber

Wow - some great new titles added to the list! Meet Me In St. Louis is an essential classic. Polyester is a HOOT. Stage Door is another great classic with a stellar cast, and I'm particularly delighted to see Mary Poppins Returns, having just watched your reaction to the original.

Just Lily

Amazing!!! Thank you so much!

Luis

The most quoted movie between my best friend and I!!

Jonathan Eaton

I think I can still cast the spell. :)

fire12wife

Also, I found a movie they had reacted to, but wasn't on the list. When they added it, it was to the end of the list, and not when it was actually watched. I'm sure it's a rare instance, but it helps to make the list look like they skip around. Joe and Kevin are very fair when it comes to the movie list!

fire12wife

My sister and I grew up watching A Little Princess (1986) with Amelia Shankley, Nigel Havers, and Maureen Lipman. It was a made for TV movie we recorded on VHS. We were so excited to watch the 1996 version when it came out. There are many differences between the two, but they are both great movies! I haven't seen the original The Little Princess (1939) with Shirley Temple, Richard Greene, and Anita Louise, or the 1973 version with, Deborah Makepeace and Lesley Dunlop. I'll have to watch them before Joe and Kevin react to the 1996 movie! Good excuse to curl up with my cats , a blanket, and a snack to watch them on a rainy day!

fire12wife

I didn't remember him being in Hidden Figures (2016), when I saw him in Top Gun: Maverick (2022) as Jake Seresin (Hangman). He was so good at playing the a$$hole, that I wanted to punch him in the face! lol! It's too bad they've both watched Top Gun: Maverick (2022)... would've made an incredible reaction video!!!

fire12wife

Pete's Dragon (1977) is one of the movies I purchased! It's my all-time favorite Disney movie! I grew up watching it with my sisters and brother! We'd get our blankets, pillows, and a massive bowl of popcorn, and we laid down on the living room floor. Recently, I found out that Matthew Labyorteaux, who played the son of Charles and Caroline Ingalls on Little House on the Prairie (1978-1983), was supposed to play the lead role of Pete, but was already under contract for another project. Sean Marshall was a great choice for the role of Pete!

Ben Gilbert

I saw it in the theater when it came out. I liked it, but it was so different from what I was expecting.

Jonathan Eaton

I was 13 when it came out and it was more... R rated, than I led my mother to believe. lol

Lola Lirola

I grew up fiercely and passionately loving the book, and I have never seen a single adaptation! I'm apprehensive, but I'll trust Del Toro.

Roland

One of my favorites (although most people don't know that it's actually a remake!)

fire12wife

Absolutely! They don't make them like that anymore!

David Adler

Hey kids, been off the grid lately w/o leaving home. What's your ETA on "Rachel Getting Married?" Hope your profits and happiness are always elevating. ☮️

Andy Schreiber

Happy to see Private Benjamin on the list! I was just thinking about that movie the other day, and about how people don't seem to talk about it anymore, and certainly not react to it online. I think it's a terrific comedy, and really look forward to this.

I🖤Kraken

Next to Normal looks amazing. Thank you, nice person!

Cristy

What We Do In The Shadows, are you kidding me??? Love this so much, thank you to the person with good taste who picked it.

dys

I'm very excited for What We Do In The Shadows, one of the funniest comedies ever made, as well as American Fiction right above, which is also very funny but also very insightful.

Suzanne Whyte

I wondered if they’d seen the movie since the to show was on the 30 minute show poll. Great to see it on the list. It was actually Taika’s film JoJo Rabbit that was my first introduction to Joe and Kevin’s channel. Hopefully they’ll get to Hunt For the Wilderpeople as well one day.

Kjetil

I joined Patreon just to see you guys finishing Barry. You're great and your reactions give so much substance and context that I wouldn't otherwise get. Now, regarding the list: I see some Altmans-movies here, but not Short Cuts, his best, in my opinion. Hope you get around to it, you won't regret it.

Actuarial Lurker

Just requested the 1981 cult animated classic Heavy Metal...inspired by Kevin starting his Arcane reactions

Emptysea93

I requested it, selfishly hoping it will prompt them to doing the show of their own volition!

Roland

Great movie

acidnova

Just purchased both the 1961 and 1998 versions of The Parent Trap. I grew up on the older version (I love the newer one, too but I was already in my late teens when it came out) and I'm sad that reactors never do the older one. There are a lot of reactions to the newer one, but they almost never have the knowledge of the older movie as a reference point. So I thought it'd be nice to have Joe and Kevin see both versions and have the opportunity to compare/contrast them.

I🖤Kraken

I love the aesthetic of the first Parent Trap so much! I wish I could add the 1970s Freaky Friday and the 2000s Freaky Friday just for giggles.

Francesca Carey

I just watched the Kevin Kline movie "In & Out." I think you guys would really enjoy it

Cristy

The OG Parent Trap is the best! Thank you for your service. It low key annoys me when people don't realise the 90s version is a remake of that one.

Cristy

Okay, who added Thank You For Smoking...this list just gets better and better.

Jonathan

Thank you to whoever gave them both versions of Parent Trap. The 1961 version needs to be watched more.

Rob Bob

Hero! 😎 Another overlooked gem that is right up this channel’s alley.

Matt CN

I like the way you think.

acidnova

Oh, The Rocketeer! That's a movie I've been meaning to revisit! Thanks, kind stranger!

Ben Gilbert

You're welcome! I saw it back in 2005 and thought it was great. I was reminded of it a few days ago and thought you guys would enjoy it.

Seth Walker

You're welcome! It's such an underrated movie.

Jonathan Eaton

Mother and Hero are two of the most used movie titles, with more than 60 movies between them. Make sure you watch the right ones. lol

Andy Schreiber

They've got the right "Mother" - the 1996 film by Albert Brooks. I'm the one who put them up to it.

Andy Schreiber

I shan't say a word more about it - no spoilers. I just love this film. Highly underappreciated.

Lola Lirola

Yes!! I'm one of the old heathens who doesn't really prefer the Lindsay Lohan version. Hayley Mills is the OG!

Lola Lirola

Thank you for this. The Hayley Mills version is so charming!! And we gotta be honest, Maureen O'Hara and Brian Keith run laps around Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson...

Lola Lirola

Whoever bought Romy and Michele, may your post-its always stick and your lunch menu always have a discount.

Lola Lirola

I come here with a question, though. Did I hallucinate it, or wasn't there a recent tv show poll where Community won? 'Cause I am loving (for real loving!) all the new shows that are popping up, but I am slightly pouting that none of them are Community. With how much the guys know about movies and tropes, they'd (we'd!) have a blast with the show!

Youtalkingtome

Actually, it was our poll winner last week, so we will be watching it Friday!

Lola Lirola

Omg, great news!! It's a lot of fun. How did I miss that poll? I swear my brain is swiss cheese these days.

Daniel Lydford

I count about 80 movie in the pipeline for viewing - that's got to fill every movie slot the guys have through the end of this calendar year.

Jonathan Eaton

ONCE!? YES! One of the all time great soundtracks. Whoever added this, Thank you! Only 80 movies to get through first. lol

Jonathan

I believe it was a non binding poll judging interest in different shows.

Jonathan

It’s up to about the middle of November

Rob Bob

Can’t afford it on my own right now, but if anyone is interested in kickstarting/ somehow splitting costs for Beasts of the Southern Wild, let me know. Shocked there isn’t a single reaction to this beautiful film on any channel, and would be perfect here, assuming one or both of the guys hasn’t seen it yet.

Lola Lirola

But it did exist, right? I didn't hallucinate it! Because I looked on the channel but I couldn't even find it. I'm glad to see I'm not crazy. Anyway, I know it's their channel and they do whatever they want and it's all fine. I just wanted to check that I wasn't nuts, and also harrumph a little, because I love the show and I want them to do it! It's all with love.

Lola Lirola

Yep. I'm afraid, as I warned them, the price solution doesn't solve a time problem.

acidnova

I don't have it in me to buy that one at this time but that would be a great movie to add! I'll share a little story now since I don't know when I would be able to. I saw it at a screening in LA with the cast and crew and it was amazing! Quvenzhané Wallis had a cute moment on the stage. Not everyone had a microphone (there were maybe 5 or 6 people up there and maybe 4 mics) and so she didn't have one. When someone from the audience asked her a question, both people on either side held their mics out to her which slightly startled her and got a big laugh. After that, anytime she needed to speak, she just reached out with both of her hands for the mics. She definitely loved being up there and you could tell she had the beginnings of "theater kid" energy! It was very cute.

acidnova

They've been going through like 5 movies a week. I would guess around August/September depending on how many they add from polls.

Youtalkingtome

acidnova is the closest. Right now we're into mid-September for new requests.

Stephanie Bedworth

I'll definitely watch the old one. The new one didn't do much for me.

fire12wife

I love them both! Now we just need for someone to buy both of the tv movies; The Parent Trap 2 (1986) and The Parent Trap 3 (1989)! Hayley Mills is in them both! I don't know if they are available for streaming anywhere, though... I'll have to look into it!

Jonathan

I love both of those movies Parent Trap 2 shows up on YouTube. Parent Trap 3 is hard to find in a full version. Someone posted the 4th one that was the pilot for the series that didn’t happen. That movie is by far the weakest.

Tarryn Harris

Hi guys would love to see you react to the series Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. It is a historical whodunit but with an Australian twist and the costumes and set design are amazing.

Actuarial Lurker

Just requested "The Hours" (2002)... the vet thought we had to do a $5000 knee replacement surgery on our 3 year old female Malinois/GSD mix (see the avatar), but a few minutes before the operation our orthopedic vet surgeon diagnosed it as a VERY bad strain of her left hip flexor "Iliopsoas muscle" and NOT a torn ACL - essentially a "groin strain" Figured I'd celebrate avoiding risky surgery on our tough girl by adding another film to the queue with some of the surgery money... In case you think owning a Malinois is easy: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PzsyAS2lohs https://www.youtube.com/shorts/c3Knax8M3B4

Actuarial Lurker

I just made your list longer with The Hours (2002)...so there....

Lola Lirola

Ooooh, there it is! I wonder why it didn't appear when I searched "poll", but I think search algorithms have become trash everywhere. Anyway, like I said, it's all good, it's their channel and I trust them, I just hope they do it one day, because I genuinely think they'll have a lot of fun with it, and I'm glad I didn't hallucinate it! 😅

Suzanne Whyte

Glad to hear your dog was able to avoid surgery. I hope she heals quickly.

Actuarial Lurker

Suzanne- Thanks! I don't know how I wouldn't have thrown out my back trying to carry a 30kg dog up and down the stairs to the back yard for calls of nature in order to avoid dislodging a metal plate which would have been implanted in her knee... With the muscle pull we just need to have her on muscle relaxers and pain meds for 4 weeks then do some "aqua therapy" in our swimming pool which she will love before progressing to walks We never had to teach her to swim...we adopted her at 8 weeks old and a couple of months after she came home with us we were in the swimming pool to escape 35C August NY weather when we saw a small hairy creature paddle by... she had squeezed UNDER the safety fence and just jumped in to join us so I had to place a bench in front of the gate to prevent a repeat performance. Our goal once she is healthy is to do "agility" work like in this YT video- pf course not at the World Champion level... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGvqPQglME8 They run 50km/hr and one day she was playing with a friends dog and clipped my ankles and I went flying through the air like a US football wide receiver....

Clare Manion

Oh A.L., what excellent news! I'm so glad your dog is ok! And a fantastic choice of film - I haven't seen it, but I did read the novel and it's stuck with me for years now, so I'm very excited to see it.

Roland

Thanks to whomever sponsored Coherence, a jaw-dropping piece of cinema.

acidnova

You're welcome! I'm happy to know someone else will be looking forward to it!

acidnova

Oh my god, thanks to whomever just bought Return to Oz! I genuinely adore this movie but sometimes people who watch it for the first time as adults seem to struggle with it, so I'm very curious to see Joe and Kevin's reaction.

Andy Schreiber

OMG - I am SO happy to see "The Way Way Back" on the list. This is just a beautiful little movie that doesn't get nearly enough love.

acidnova

I feel like I keep commenting every time there's a new movie on the list but STOP MAKING SENSE! This is another one I'd been considering eventually purchasing since they've done some concert/music films already. I will have much more to say when we get to the reaction! So excited! Thank you to whomever got this one!

Ben Gilbert

One of the all-time greatest concert films.

The Inedible Mattman

Added Speed Racer to the schedule … I honestly am curious what these two guys will think!

Tarryn Harris

Hi guys. Please react to the TV series "Through my eyes" which is about Lindy Chamberlain and her court cases in Australia in the 80s. No one else has reacted to it or the Meryl Streep movie "A cry in the dark"

ScarlettMi

I see someone requested Adventures in Babysitting. FYI: Do Not Watch the Disney+ version. It’s the edited for tv version.

Courtney

Excited for this one, it was my hyper fixation movie as a kid, I don’t remember why anymore. And now I can’t believe it was ever marketed towards kids. But hey, I loved it 🤷‍♀️

Roland

The "Coming Soon" list is insane. :D And so many great films on there! Maybe don't immediately replace the next completed TV show(s) with another one, instead use the slot(s) to reduce the backlog some?

streaky

Quality choice with Thank You For Smoking whoever dropped that one in. Have you guys seen The Founder?

Roland

Isn't there a Google Drive link somewhere, makes the listing easier to search and scroll?

Cristy

Adventures in Babysitting and Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert!!! Consider me sat.

acidnova

OMG Steel Magnolias! There are a lot of reactions to it on youtube and I will watch ALL OF THEM. It's kinda funny because I only just saw the movie for the first time a few years ago. Anyway, I'm very excited to see J&K's reactions!

Rob Bob

It’s a ways off, but I’m very much looking forward to the guys’ reaction to Everyone Says I Love You. There’s some real movie magic in that one! 🎥 🪄

Jontor11

There is many more Hitchcock that are worth seeing. I also would like to suggest Billy Elliot (2000) and Priest (1994) two UK films with a lot of heart.

Just Lily

His Girl Friday and Steel Magnolias - Yay! 😀

Merav H

Can't wait to see your reaction to The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. I remember really loving this movie, though it's been a long time since I watched it. Do you guys accept suggestions for movies to react to, or do you only react to paid requests? :-)

dys

Want to thank whoever added The Court Jester. My dad passed away a day ago and that is one of his absolute favorites.

Luis

I think it would be Sisyphus like if that happened.

Matt CN

I’m so sorry!

Rob Bob

My condolences to you and your family. 😔 🙏🏻 I don’t think this warm, clever, hilarious gem gets enough recognition, so I added it to the list. One of my favorites as well. ❤️

seth e.

hope someone purchases Flow (2024), I feel like it's a must for cat people!

seth e.

the Handmaiden (2016) would be a great reaction, so gorgeous and so many twists!

Carl Lyngholm

Just noticed "Stop Making Sense" is on the upcoming list, looking forward to that one. I don't think you guys have done a concert film before (could be wrong, obviously). I'm wondering if either of you have seen it. If not, I think you're in for a treat, though it will be interesting to watch it as a reaction. One of the greatest concert films of all time.

Erica

Hey guys, hope you see this with the weird new comment system, but i know a few people have suggested the film Persepolis. I just learned that the woman who wrote the film and the graphic novel/memoir it's based on passed away yesterday at age 56. If no one has purchased it yet, maybe it could go into a poll? Good categories for it would be coming of age, war narrative, foreign films (i recommend watching it in the original French) animation, based on a book, or biographical. This comment is also a hint to anyone who was thinking of buying a movie 😉 i can't afford to at the moment, but if someone who's reading this can, Persepolis is a great choice

Rob Bob

Not speaking on any authority, but suggest movies to the guys for upcoming polls. Poll winners get watched within days once the poll closes.

Merav H

Thank you! Under which post to do this?

Kat

I would love to see them react to Billy Elliot but I always think the theatre version is better than the film.

Lola Lirola

Yes! I hope the see this and just watch it in honor of Marjane

Lola Lirola

I didn't see this until now, but I often see your comments in the movies we all watch here and you're always smart and interesting to read. I'm so sorry for your loss, internet friend.

Lola Lirola

My fellow cinephiles: I suffer from a sadly common affliction called "Too many great movies to suggest, zero budget to spend". Common symptoms include itching to buy movies I know we'll all enjoy in the best company, frequent refreshing of the excel page, and sudden crying at my bank balance. So I'm leaving here my list of suggestions, in case a wonderful benefactor with means feels inspired to pick up any - Peter's Friends Persepolis The Net My Best Friend's Wedding Death Becomes Her Name of the Rose Romeo+Juliet Moulin Rouge Goodbye Lenin Rye Lane Pump Up the Volume Cruel Intentions Billy Elliot Bridget Jones' Diary Chasing Amy ...and the documentary Chasing Chasing Amy, where they discuss the Weinstein of it all, gender discovery, and queer art, among other things I'll be eternally grateful if anyone likes any of them.

Suzanne Whyte

Not to hijack your list but can I add Empire of the Sun and Heathers? Even if no one buys them they could be considered for entry on the relevant polls.

Lola Lirola

Oh, for sure! I haven't seen Empire of the Sun (I read the book, though, I love Ballard), but Heathers is a classic, so both great picks!

Youtalkingtome

Almost Famous was a poll winner on the channel almost 2 years ago. :)

Suzanne Whyte

I thought I’d seen you guys react to Almost Famous but you’re not my only reactors so sometimes it’s difficult to keep track of who has watched what. Don’t worry though, you guys are my favourites.

Lola Lirola

Oop! I'll edit the list then!

Cristy

Okay, who requested The Castle? Am I dreaming? Such a great choice.

Laura Dawson

Ooh, excited by A Room with A View. Haven’t seen it in years but remember it being very good!

Cristy

I once asked if they'd seen Romeo + Juliet because it's one of my faves and I remember Kevin saying he'd seen it before (not sure about Joe). I'd love to see some Baz Lurhmann on the channel.

Suzanne Whyte

What’s the deal with The Last Samurai? Is it unavailable or something?

Youtalkingtome

We watched it today. It should be up later this evening.

Suzanne Whyte

Great. I’ve been looking forward to it.

Nick Stark

There are some excellent films coming up. One in particular I didn’t think anyone would ever react to. The movie “10” from Blake Edwards. Can’t wait 🤓

Ben Gilbert

i wanted to do a Dudley Moore movie. I was wavering between 10 and Arthur but went with the lesser known movie. I haven't seen it since the 80s, so I hope it holds up.

Jonathan

Just an FYI in case whoever purchased it doesn’t know. The version of Adventures in Babysitting on Disney + is an edited for TV version due to it being added to the streamer before the Fox/Hulu stuff

Erin Mileur

Whoever purchase Big Night thank you.

acidnova

And I can delete from my personal list of potential movies to purchase, lol! I guess the chatter about Big Night in the Chef thread inspired someone! To Joe and Kevin, make sure to have a lovely italian dinner before you watch it!

ScarlettMi

I commented about that a little while back and they replied to say they’d make note of it.

seth e.

I know, I just saw and hell yeah

seth e.

if anyone wants to pick it, the Handmaiden (2016) would make an amazing reaction! so many twists, so beautiful

Roland

Yep, my wife and I just finished S2, great fun. We're sure that we have figured "it" out, but also are sure that the creators are smart enough to blind-side us yet again. :D

I🖤Kraken

Sabrina! 🥰 Sooo magical.... Thank you, kind stranger!

Cristy

The Holiday! Yes. Wow, the list is so long now it goes all the way to Christmas.

JENNIFER E

Marry me whoever purchased Places in the Heart!

Ben Gilbert

I got an email that Robert Altman's Cookie's Fortune was available for streaming on Prime Video and Apple after being unavailable for a while. I took the opportunity to add it to the watch list.

Ben Gilbert

I noticed you are watching Burden of Dreams, about the making of Fitzcarraldo, before watching Fitzcarraldo the movie.

Ben Gilbert

I haven't seen either of them since the 80s so it may be better that way.

Ben Gilbert

They like you! They really like you! :)

Clay Poupart

Both definitely worth watching. I also watched them back to back, though I think in the other sequence.

Pirin Tablets

Big thank you to whoever purchased Design for Living ❤️ (now I can cross it off my list!)

Ben Gilbert

You're welcome. The 30s is one of my favorite decades for movies.

vala p

Whoever picked October Sky, I think we can should be friends.

Ben Gilbert

The pro-shot of Next To Normal should be coming out in a couple of weeks. It's the new West End version starring Jack Wolfe and Caissie Levy. It is a marvelous production, the songs are top notch and the singing is so amazing. Jack Wolfe is becoming one of my favorite Broadway singers. I attempted to buy it but they said I was the third person who requested it, so thanks to whoever purchased it.

Joy M

I can't wait for your review of Come From Away, it's so uplifting!

Suzanne Whyte

Just saw the news that Sam Neill passed away. Sad news.

Statmanjeff

I seem to have a bad time trying to find a simple, clean way to send you guys recommendations without attaching it to unrelated films. This time around I want to suggest Little Secrets (2001). It’s a good family picture for summer viewing, and it has the unusual quality of being regarded as a drama by kids and a comedy by adults.

Joy M

Kevin and Joe-have you seen The Sandlot? If not that’s a great summer baseball movie you should do a reaction to this summer.

Pirin Tablets

Whoever purchased Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, I hope your pillow is always cool, your traffic lights always green, and your popcorn always perfectly salted!

acidnova

I see someone bought Before Midnight! I'm glad we'll get to finish the trilogy!

Tarryn Harris

Hi Guys, can you please react to the 1985 movie "A Chorus Line". It is a fantastic movie about a part of the performing arts which is often passed over (the auditions). It has an amazingly talented cast.

Tarryn Harris

Cannot wait for Meet me in St Louis and The Court Jester

acidnova

I'm also really looking forward to Meet Me in St Louis. I've been meaning to watch it for AGES so it will be a good impetus for me to watch it!

fire12wife

My next movie pick is coming up soon... Turner & Hooch (1989) with a very young Tom Hanks! He's so great in this one and really proves he can carry a movie all on his own! Lots of supporting roles, but this is Tom's movie! Excited to watch it with you all!

acidnova

Oh gosh, I just saw the news that Glen Hansard died today in a motorcycle crash! HIs movie, Once, is already on the upcoming movie list. I don't know if the boys would consider watching it a little sooner. It's currently sitting about 30 movies away.

Bill McNeil

Im new to your Patreon. Im so excited to see The Way Way Back is a future reaction. Its one of my favorite coming of age movies.

vala p

You're killing me Joy.

vala p

Don't talk with the Babysitter.

Jonathan Eaton

RIP Glen Hansard. Now would be a good time to watch his movie "Once". It's coming up on your list anyway.

Ciarán Carr

aye awful tragedy. it was my request, I'd let the lads know via DM. It'll be a different experience watching it with them now

acidnova

I found this lovely video of a bunch of people in Dublin playing and singing "Falling Slowly." Ciarán, I'm guessing that you're in Ireland (please correct me if I'm mistaken and you just happen to have an Irish name). I had the pleasure of visiting Dublin (as well as Galway, Cork, Kilkenny, and Waterford) back in 2015 and actually saw a performance of the stage version of Once at a lovely theater in Dublin (don't remember the name). My impression is that there is a lot of love for that movie and for Glen Hansard's music (and the various bands he played in). What has been your experience? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lghQVdUFu14

I🖤Kraken

Aww, huge thanks to whoever added Supergirl. I loved it too!

Courtney

Random question that I’m not sure where else to ask: Joe and Kevin, what are your feelings on Patreon requests unlikely to ever make it to YouTube? I’m thinking about requesting an R-rated film, but it’s got enough sexual content to make editing a task and a half. I do want to see your opinion on the film, but not at the expense of you losing your wills to live trying to get it onto YouTube!

Nannette

Would be fun to see the two of you react to Asteroid City

Youtalkingtome

We've done a couple that we didn't edit for YT. And going forward, anything from Studio Ghibli won't make it to YT because they're horrible to work with.

acidnova

Calendar Girls! Thanks to whomever requested that one! Now I can take it off my personal list of potential movies to request! Such a lovely little film and I really look forward to revisiting it.

Suzanne Whyte

Congratulations to Joe and Kevin on hitting 20k followers over on YouTube. It’s nice to see your hard work paying off.

Jonathan

Thanks to whoever added Polyanna to the list. I have a few Disney movies for the list once I get my bonus check.

acidnova

On the plus side, somehow, during the infinity of time, we all got to be alive at the same time she was

I🖤Kraken

Beautifully, wonderfully true. That really soothes my heart. Thank you...

Suzanne Whyte

Tim Curry has passed away. Another legend gone.

Ben Gilbert

His Girl Friday is great! It's the best of the 3 movies based on the 1928 play The Front Page. It's in the public domain, so you shouldn't have much trouble editing it for YouTube.

I🖤Kraken

Disclosure Day is so lovely... Highly recommend. I feel like it recalibrated my soul. Dude. So chill right now...

Lola Lirola

That was me! I thought I should cheer them (and all of us) up for the new year

Roland

Such a fun time!

Andy Schreiber

I'm really happy to see Peggy Sue Got Married on the list! It's a stunning film.

kosmickrab

There's a new Band of Brothers documentary coming to HBO Max this month in celebration of the 25th anniversary. (Posting this here rather than the Band of Brothers posts so it can get fresh eyes.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjLg0X59fMA

JC

I'm not familiar with timelines. If I want to do a You Pick It, We Watch It for the holiday season when's the best time to sign-up?

acidnova

There are over 100 upcoming movies on the list so they're way past December at this point. If I recall correctly, they put out a message awhile back saying that they're coming up to the holidays on the list and for people to get their requests in then. Usually when I'm thinking of getting a movie for a specific time of year, I send a private message asking where they're at so I can try to time my request better. Or if need be, put in the request and tell them to not watch it until a certain month or something like that.

JC

Ah whoops. Maybe next year then.

Actuarial Lurker

Just added the 1988 film "Dangerous Liaisons"

Clare Manion

Oh, I've been meaning to see that for such a long time -- thank you!

ScarlettMi

I hope that gets paired with Cruel Intentions.

Ben Gilbert

Good choice! Is that the one from 1988? They have 1998 on the list.

JENNIFER E

Whoever added Hoop Dreams claim your flowers! A+ choice!

I🖤Kraken

Company? Company, Company, Company, Company? Thank you so much nice person!

acidnova

OMG, who requested Fried Green Tomatoes? ❤️

kosmickrab

Just saw that Hadestown: The Musical is on the list! Thank you whoever selected it. I've been obsessed with it since seeing it in the theater this year.

Joy M

Random question, a while back there was a discussion about you guys watching Downton Abbey, have you guys decided against it?

JENNIFER E

I can pull that off my list!

Julzy

I purchased A Room With A View (1986). Produced by Merchant & Ivory & starring Daniel Day Lewis, Helena Bonham Carter, Julian Sands, Maggie Smith, Judi Dench, Simon Callow, Denholm Elliot & Rupert Graves - those are all I can remember! ha ha. Favorite quote: “By the side of the everlasting why, there is a yes & a Yes & a YES!"🫶

Andy Schreiber

Hi guys! Out of curiosity, is the Pro-Shot film of "Company" you just added the 2008 PBS Performance?

Youtalkingtome

Not at all. I think we're going to start it when we finish Fargo.

Lola Lirola

Hey, so... now that someone purchased Dangerous Liaisons... Can someone please buy Cruel Intentions? 🥺😉 Pleasepleaseplease! Bonus Buffy, they'll have a hoot!

Lola Lirola

Thank you for this. Gorgeous film!

Lola Lirola

Lol, I *just* saw the list (sorry I'm late) and commented exactly this about Cruel Intentions!! Come on, people! Bonus Buffy!!

Lola Lirola

The podcast Blank Check is currently going through all of Scorsese's filmography, in order, film by film, and their Mean Streets episode is 2 and a half hours long! Highly recommend, they know theirs stuff.

Actuarial Lurker

I never saw it- I was only 7 when it came out so just a but too young- buy always wanted to

Julzy

My pleasure 😊

Ben Gilbert

One of my favorite films.

Cristy

Guess who's resubscribing then hehe, this just made my day.

Cristy

Such a great movie!

Cristy

Bridget Jones Diary! Thank you, kind person, for buying this delightful movie.

Cristy

Now that you mention it, I do remember now, lol.

Rob Bob

The list just keeps getting better and better…😎

Julzy

This is also one of my very favorite films 😊

Tarryn Harris

Hi guys. Can you react to Down with Love (2003) with Ewan McGregor and Renee Zellweger? With all the old hollywood movies you've watched I think you'll really enjoy it. Also as someone born in South African, I highly recommend another movie which is an entirely unique experience "The Gods must be Crazy" (1980)

acidnova

To whomever went ahead and purchased About Time after it lost the romance poll, thank you!

Pam Nail

So excited to see The Unbearable Lightness of Being added to the list! Thank you, whoever requested it.

Ben Gilbert

I think they would enjoy it They've reacted to Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson and Doris Day.

Lola Lirola

Thank you to whoever bought The Man in the Moon! (not the Andy Kaufman biopic, but the Reese Witherspoon debut) That's a *deep* cut from the 90s!!

rojowo

how does requesting a movie work? I don't want to spend $90 to find that that slot is already taken

acidnova

You can always send them a private message to ask about movies prior to purchasing them. I alsways ask if they've already seen a particular movie first before I buy. And the movie list at the top lets you know what movies they already have scheduled. But if you accidentally request a movie they already have on the schedule, they would tell you and let you pick a different movie. You're not in any danger with Joe and Kevin. Just know that any movie you buy, they won't be able to react to it for at least a few months because there are so many.

rojowo

I appreciate this, but my question isn't about the films they've already seen but about how the request a movie thing here on patreon works

acidnova

I was confused when you put "slots" in your question because there aren't any. Just go to "shop" and buy any of the "You Pick It, We Watch It" items. They are numbered so that you can buy multiple movies but the numbers themselves don't actually matter. Then you send a message to Joe and Kevin and tell them which movie you want.

rojowo

Oh, okay, I was worried that I might pay for one of them and then get told, "sorry, that one has already been purchased"

acidnova

Was One Day In September, Munich, and September 5 all purchased by the same patron or did multiple patrons collaborate on this?

Ben Gilbert

The Gods Must Be Crazy replaced La Cage Aux Folles as the highest grossing foreign film ever in America. It held that position until Crocodile Dundee came out.

Luis

I tip my hat to the Herzog fan(s).

Annie519

I know! I love that movie and I so excited for them to watch it, hopefully we get it soon!!

Annie519

I am so excited for Adventure's In Babysitting, one of my childhood favorites! Although, hopefully you haven't recorded it yet because I strongly advise you not watch it on Disney+. I can't stand watching it on there because they have the TV edited version and it takes away from the comedy and it's distracting. They dub what they are saying quite a few times and it's bad with what they replace it with and obvious. I have no idea why they have that version on there when they have R rated movies like Deadpool & Wolverine. I'm sure there are other streaming sites you can watch it on.

Lola Lirola

Guys, Cinebinge just straight up blocked me for pointing out that their lineup is 95% male led movies and shows. Like, no answer, no message, no nothing. Just blocked for pointing out in their "Next week schedule" that it was 95% male. Incredible. I'm so glad things are so different here. Thank you Joe and Kevin for making this a great place to be!

Ben Gilbert

All the posts in the shop have been purchased and are locked, and have been for a few weeks. Is there another way to purchase because I still see movies being added to the movie list.

acidnova

That's weird! I just went to shop and did a quick search for "watch" just to narrow it down and I got over a dozen options to buy. Either you already purchased all the movies slots (which I doubt) or something is screwy. If you still can't pucchase movies, maybe you should message them directly because as far as I can see, you should still be able to do it.

Tara

Sorry I know this 4 months old but meeeeee - I knew I had to buy it after they watched Prisciila.
