Great timing too. A few days ago they interviewed Lee Pace and he was saying the same thing about returning to Pushing Daisies and the Anna Friel reposted it as well!!! We’ve got Scrubs, Malcolm in the Middle, Baywatch and many others this year of reboot, I’m hoping Pushing Daisies gets one ☝️

Interesting, I totally misremembered the ending. I thought after all the near misses Ned and Chuck accidentally collided and realised that his magic touch no longer worked on her. Like there was a time limit for him to touch someone again and permanently kill them. Maybe I rewrote the ending in my head to give them a happy ending.

When Ned was talking about how he tried to be a good boyfriend and how he worked hard to try and make Chuck happy I couldn’t help but think that their relationship is a bit uneven. What has Chuck done to make him happy? She sometimes seems to prioritise everyone but Ned.

This was a delightfully insane episode - I mean that in the best way possible; they really pulled out all the stops. The murder-by-shark, the costumes, the synchronized swimming extravaganza, the himbo… it was absolutely nuts and I loved it. And agreed, I think the resolution worked really well. There was a ton to wrap up super quickly at the end, but I don’t feel like there were any loose ends left. That’s really impressive! Also — “A sorry a shark ate your b**** of a sister letter.” Lol! Ah yes, one of the lesser known categories of Hallmark card.

Such a sweet way to wrap up the series! The ending is super rushed but I'm still glad that they had just enough time to do something. Glad you enjoyed the show! I hope one day you check out Wonderfalls which isn't quite as bubbly and visually bright as Pushing Daisies but has a lot of similar elements. I think you'd like it a lot. It only had 1 season (13 episodes) so it's a great option whenever you need a shorter show to watch.

I agree that, given the constraints of the timeframe they had to work with, those in charge worked out a really lovely ending, one that moves me each time I re-view it. (The main thing left unaccounted for is the "why" of Ned's gift in the first place, seemingly tied up with the story of his father and Dwight Dixon and all that. Also I'd have liked another scene with Ned and his twin half-brothers; but you can't have everything.) And an extra salute, please, for narrator Jim Dale. For the ending to land, he had to work magic with that last minute of summing-up. And he did.

I was going to recommend "Galavant," a whimsical medieval musical saga, songs by Alan Menken that I enjoy a lot. (2 short seasons, half-hour episodes.) But it keeps hopping around among providers. Usually one has to pay extra to buy or rent it, but a year ago it showed up with no such restrictions on... Hulu or Disney+ or some such place. But I just checked, and now apparently it's pay-only again.

Tragic that it got cut short, but a wonderful final episode. Once again some great guest stars: Wendie Malick you've seen on the channel as the voice of Pacha's wife in The Emperor's New Groove, Michael McDonald from MadTV, and Wilson Cruz from My So-Called Life and Star Trek Discovery (I thought Discovery was one of the weakest Star Trek series but that wasn't his fault).

Where can we get those amazing, velour, team track suits? Other delightful shows that you might consider watching: Wonderfalls Schmigadoon Better Off Ted

Would you ever react to an anime series? There are some great short series options out there.
