DAD JOKE!! Vote for as many as sound like fun!

Brian Leonard

I chose Wake Up Dead Man since it is the only one of these I have seen.

DelGuy03

I vote for 4 of them, but Wake Up Dead Man applies only if you've seen the first 2 Benoit Blanc movies. Not that this one has spoilers for the previous two, but it's a shame to deprive yourself of the chance to see them in order.

Just Lily

You should check out Gilda (1946), Shadow of a Doubt (1943), Strangers on a Train (1951), Leave Her to Heaven (1945)

Just Lily

Will you watch Wake up Dead Man before Knives out and Glass Onion? it's the 3rd movie

Youtalkingtome

We have seen each of those already, so we couldn't watch them on the channel.

Youtalkingtome

We have each seen the previous films before, which is why we never had them on the channel.

I am one of those weirdos who consider Miller's Crossing to be (actually and un-ironically) the best Coe Brothers movie. We are few, and not very vocal, and I admit that it's close and subject to daily fluctuations of mood, but it's just such a poetic and ambivalent movie, with a lot of complexity behind the hermetic structure of betrayal and counter-betrayal. And I love people reacting to it: Some adore the main character as a stone-cold mastermind, some despise or pity him as a pathetic romantic fool... it's a cinematic ink-blot test in the guise of a gangster noir.

Luis

+1 for Leave her to Heaven

Luis

I’ll also add Bunny Lake is Missing as a recommendation.

AudeAudor

I only know that The Maltese Falcon is a classic, ans it's supposed to be very good so I voted for it :)

I🖤Kraken

Wake Up Dead Man has many diverse degrees of Dad energy in it. I'm fascinated to see what you will think. 😜

Lola Lirola

Have we done the other knives outs? Did I miss it? Was I asleep? Because Wake Up Dead Man is excellent and I want to see all three with you guys!

Kristi Govertsen

A+++ for the noir pun🤣 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Also, great list! I’ve Benoit-ing to see a few of these for some time now. *rim shot*😉

Cosmic Slice

Miller's Crossing is so highly underrated

Bean's friend

Love Gilda, always a good choice. And honestly, Shadow of a Doubt doesn't get enough love; it was Hitchcock's favorite of his own films, and I think Joseph Cotten's Charlie was brilliantly menacing, in an understated way.

Bean's friend

I'd also have to recommend Jacques Tourneur's Out of the Past, a quintessential exemplar of the noir genre. And I love that you included The Big Heat, even though it won't win. I feel like it's often left out of conversations, but its darkness surprised me the first time I saw it. Really good stuff.

Suzanne Whyte

They’ve already seen the other two before starting the channel. Ideally they need to undergo the Severance procedure so they can start fresh with no memories of the previous films. Really, Lumon should have been marketing severance as a way of watching your favourite movies and tv shows again for the first time.

Just Lily

It's also my favourite of his. I actually love his older movies more. Lady on a train is also very good!

Lola Lirola

Lol! That would be kinda amazing, not gonna lie! Ah, dangit, I would have loved to watch the first two with them. But the third one is incredible and I'm very glad it's winning! (at least so far 🤞)

Chemical Em

i love noir!!!! my noir list is: the naked kiss 1964, leave her to heaven 1945, in a lonely place 1950, cat people 1942, the killers 1946, scarlet street 1945 and detour 1945

Chemical Em

leave her to heaven is so iconic!!!! gene tierney is amazing

Ncohafmuta

Or just get older. I'm 50 now and my memory is lacking enough that every time I do a re-watch of Buffy it's like i'm watching a bunch of it for the first time, which is nice.

Actuarial Lurker

I chose three: Night Moves, Miller's Crossing and The Maltese Falcon- only have seen the latter- heard great things about Night Moves and never got around to seeing Miller's Crossing which is supposed to be a classic

Roland

I've seen Wake Up Dead Man, it has its plus points, but I thought it was the weakest of the three movies thus far. Honestly it's a bit of a shame that it's in this poll at all, since it's not really classic noir like most of the others. + I voted for three movies that I've heard good things about (The Killing, Devil In A Blue Dress, The Big Heat). I assume youze guys have seen L.A. Confidential?

Brandon

Yes! The other Keir Dullea movie, and he's actually really good in it.

Luis

How do you feel Sorry Wrong Number? That’s also been a favorite of mine.

Lindsey Swift

lol, on a serious note, have ya'll seen Chronicles of Narnia?

Cristy

Wake Up Dead Man, yes! Also, love The Maltese Falcon.

kosmickrab

Sweet Smell of Success is a must see!

Roland

Is it though, I thought it appeared in a lot of people's Top Tens.

Roland

And the sequel to Strangers: "Throw Momma From The Train" 😉

Chemical Em

i haven't seen that yet, but now im excited to watch it!

Cosmic Slice

People who are super into movies love it but most people haven't seen it.

Luis

It’s a really good caper!

dys

I go back and forth over whether Glass Onion or Wake Up Dead Man is better, but either way it's clear to me Knives Out was lightning in a bottle that Rian Johnson is not likely to recapture in making more of these.

Cotubug

Leave Her to Heaven as others have mentioned is brilliant!
