Oh man, I thought Nikki was gone too. That was such a brutal sequence. But much like the coffee cup scene, it shows just what kind of crowd the Stussys have fallen in with — amateur criminals confronted with the reality of professionals. “He said pretty girls should only…” Oof. The original wasn’t *that* awful; he only said “Quiet, b——.” “Mothers cooking and…” In the early 1930’s, Stalin pushed for collective state-run farms in Ukraine. It was a disaster. Famine killed around 3.9 million. And there are stories of. that. Sy is in an interesting spot. I’m not entirely sure the mob guys see him as much of a threat. Annoying, sure, and I have no doubt they’d have zero qualms about killing him, but they might consider him too scared and weak to be a real problem… So I’m really hoping he can subvert their expectations. P.S. Song at the beginning - Kevin - Lol, brilliant! Now every time I hear that song, I’ll think of a bus full of little kids singing it at the top of their lungs :)

Oh wow, my dad always used to sing the “it’s hard to be humble song” when I was a kid and I never actually knew it was a real song because I never heard a recording of it and I was a little kid so I thought he just made it up. It’s years later and I still know all the lyrics off by heart.

I still know it, too! It's amazing how something like that sticks with you for decades.

I had forgotten about it, and years later (when I was in high school), my grandmother said she had run into the bus driver. The driver told her to ask me if I still sang that song. Ah, small towns.

I'm wondering if the hoods deliberately left Nikki alive? If they had really wanted to kill her, her face would have looked like Mason Verger's, eh Joe? 😘 On the other hand, incompetence from almost every party is a key element of this show....

That's a good point. They are experienced professionals.
