Oh wasn't aware you guys did Arcane. Hope other Netflix western animations like Pantheon and Castlevania make the watch list at some point too 🤞

I can't believe the third episode of the show was this explosive!

Suzanne Whyte

This was a brutal episode but it was very gripping and it really sets things up for the rest of the season. I was sad to see Vander’s ending. He was my favourite character.

There goes your notes...

Honestly, after this episode I think Silco is my favorite character. What a compelling backstory! He and Vander were brothers - or at least referred to each other as such. They decided to lead the poverty stricken undercity in rebellion against the oppressive ruling class. It ends in failure, and Vander walks away after taking in two children. He betrayed his brother and tries to drown him. But Silco survives and is still invested in the cause, determined to see it to its end. At the end of the episode, he relates to Powder. He understands what it is like to be betrayed by a sibling, so he takes her under his wing. I've got chills. The way he is tentative at first before wrapping her in a hug! I have no idea what happens next, but I kind of hope that he isn't portrayed as a straight up villain! Cause I kind of get it lol

Pantheon was incredible.

Daniel Andersen

Also trims the fat. Think if they had been less busy changing the status quo. I don't think I wouldve continued the show tbh

This is the real pilot of the show in a way, great as the first two episodes were they were just setup for the true inciting incident of the story here.

Anna

Just strap in for a very complicated story. There's no straight easy right and wrong answers most of the time. Everyone is deeply human and an absolute mess.

Youtalkingtome

It's an entire new show now, which is completely unexpected.

Youtalkingtome

The best villains are the ones you kind of get where they are coming from.

Youtalkingtome

Absolutely useless. And I had category sections and everything.

Vander was my favorite character as well. This episode was wild.

D Gyre

This is another show that kind of does 3 episode arcs somewhat.

The way Silco's facial expression softens just slightly as he hears Powder say "She left me," and looks up to see the brother who left him, is one of my favorite pieces of animation ever.

The aftermath of Powder's monkey bomb is probably my favorite "twist" in television after the end of Season 1 of The Good Place. In both cases, everything that happens after is immaculately set up by everything that comes before, but you don't see it coming because *how could it be that that's what happens?!*
