Boyle’s complete confidence and lack of shame this episode is a true superpower. Imagine how much better off all of us could be if we were that honest and earnest without shame. I feel like most of us would be happier and better off. Sadly it’s the people who really don’t need that level of confidence who usually have it instead.

I'll tell you about my worst date... I was invited to my ex-girlfriend's home to meet her family for Thanksgiving. She's Canadian, I'm Belgian. However, her grandmother was Dutch, who married her Canadian soldier after the liberation of Holland and moved to Canada. I was welcomed by her mother and grandmother, however, dad and her three brothers didn't seem too impressed with the guy who defiled their daughter/little sister. Moreover, they're manly men, own a lumber business, her two brothers played semi-professional hockey. And I'm a 3d artist... So let's say I was a bit nervous and intimidated (even though they were just pulling my leg, having their fun, it didn't feel that way) Unfortunately, the grandma had dementia, and during her bad spells, she started talking Dutch, something nobody in the family understood, but since I was Belgian, I started talking to her. So imagine the horror when Grandma started offering her services to me... She obviously was a lady of the night when she lived in the Netherlands. And for the entire time I was there, she was making the most lewd proposals. And boy was the family happy to see her communicate and light up thinking she was having the best time talking in her native language... I made the probably cowardly decision to fake translate what she was saying, and did so for a week. So it might not be a real date, I think it might qualify as a bad date.
