Apparently Gilmore Girls is leaving Netflix at the end of this month...🤢 With the best part of three seasons plus four lengthy specials left to watch in two weeks, bingeing it is not an option.

It also streams on Disney/Hulu. Hope that helps.

This is one of my favorite episodes and I don't know why. I love the journalism set up but I missed half of what was going on with Paris's story and Doyle's storyline bc a lot of storylines going on in this episode.

Roland

It certainly will, thank you! :)

This would have to be one of my least favourite episodes of GG. The whole Norman Mailer thing was excessively boring just to get to the reveal that Sookie is pregnant, which is basically a spoiler in the title anyway, even though it doesn’t say who says that line to him it’s kind of obvious. The Christoper story line, whilst it’s sad that Sherry has abandoned her baby and him, just gives us more reasons to find him a pathetic adult male! The last scene with Rory telling him to back off and leave Lorelai alone is so satisfying and one of the few good moments in the whole episode. I do however like the mystery of the Life and Death Brigade and where that might be taking Rory as a journalist and what Logan’s involvement could be ???

two pennies no waiting

On a re-watch, you'll be reminded that Rory relays that at their first meeting Sherry was seriously considering becoming a single mother before meeting Christopher. Just. makes it even harder to think of where Sherry was mentally to need to leave; or if you prefer, it's just a clunky-ish write off. Logan is smug and entitled, he also cuts to the point every time and I really like that after sulky/hulky Dean. I do think you will come around to if not enjoying Logan's persona, at least not cringing every time he's on screen. I don't think you guys are being too hard on Rory's men, most of us just forgot how much of our lives have been spent arguing team jess or team dean over the last couple of decades. besides you have to say every thought out loud or it'd be the worst reaction channel haha. I'm excited to see how you feel about the rest of this season, buckle up!

I have watched this so many times, but I just noticed how that baby wouldn't have been able to climb out that crib either way and land safely, lol.

Carl Wilson

Yeah, on the one hand there was "scheduling her C-section" Sherry, who did seem like she cared more about her career, but she clearly was very into having Gigi - she tried so hard to involve Rory - and committed to Christopher. Even if she's pissed about him not pulling his weight as a father, it does feel a bit like character assassination for her to peace out with a note left with the nanny.

Carl Wilson

Paris is being THE MOST as usual, terrorizing the New Haven religious community with her pursuit of stories for the religion beat - and Doyle is kind of into it.

Yasemin

I like to watch your takes. They are sometimes so different from mine, but I find that refreshing. The more different perspectives I watch re. my favorite show of all time, the more enriching it becomes! Plus, I noticed yet again how amazing the writing on this show is, because with every rewatch, you discover another "new" detail.

Carl Wilson

Your enjoyment of the Norman Mailer bit may hinge some on whether Mailer as a real-world personality was ever enough on your radar for it to feel bizarre and hilarious that he's on the show at all. I'm in that category, and even I feel like the Sherman-Palladinos over-milk the joke. Though I do love it that after Sookie finally scares him and the interviewer away, they start monopolizing a table at Luke's ordering just iced tea. Btw Mailer died almost exactly three years after this episode first aired.

Yasemin

That was a strong Rory scene there in the end.

Yasemin

To be fair, and I do not like Chris in particular (he tends to be an underwritten character on this otherwise so fantastically written show), he was 16 when he left, but Gigi's mom is an adult.

Yasemin

Logan is an interesting character and multi-layered. I am curious to watch future scenes and your reactions to them.

Yasemin

It should also stream on HBO Max, but I cannot find it there currently. Also, I've heard that it might be a short-lived "leaving Netflix", as there are possibly new contract negotiations going on.

Onno Smits

I'm right there with ya Joe! So far, that Logan kid seems insufferable.

Youtalkingtome

Absolutely, right? Rewatches and discussions always help me enrich my enjoyment of something.

Youtalkingtome

Can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes down!

Oceanflower

Yeah also I think like not to defend him but like he now has to suddenly totally change his plans for the future cause his business travels and all of that needs to rearranged cause otherwise GG has no parent ever around. I think he's just in shock.

Koko

Logan is gonna stay that way. To me he's annoying from his first scene to his last. For me from now on the series gets worse and worse. The best seasons are over. But I'm interested in your opinion in the next months.
