If you’re looking for more about Revolutions I would recommend the Revolutions podcast it’s a great listen.

If you two liked this season especially, you should check out Jeeves and Wooster, as well as A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Both star Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry playing off each other, with Jeeves and Wooster in particular sharing some of the feel of this season.

After Blackadder Tony Robinson is most known for presenting a tv show called Time Team where a team of archeologists would travel around the UK and dig up sites in search of historically significant items. It was a very long-running show.

So I'm watching this on Prime Video, and the next episode is actually Season 3, Episode 7: Christmas Eve, 1850. I never knew this episode existed, so maybe it's not available on all streaming services. It's 44 minutes long, so it was probably one of those Christmas Day specials that the Brits love doing with their tv shows. Any chance you'll watch it next week?

Actuarial Lurker

Supposedly there were 3 or 4 of these interspersed between seasons 2, 3, and 4

Of course we need your best guess for the time jump to season 4 and the setting

I’m surprised the streaming services haven’t shown them ads for season 4 that give it away. I don’t think it’s a big deal if they find out the time period beforehand though.

Peacock has the fourth season imagery plastered all over. :D

According to Wikipedia there are two specials between Seasons 3 and 4: Blackadder: The Cavaiier Years Blackadder's Christmas Carol I'm sure I've seen them, but I don't remember. Wikipedia also lists a long list of other appearances, including some shorts for Children In Need and Red Nose Day.

I loved Time Team!

Guys... you do know France was the one who had the revolution, right? No one ended up in London like they did down in Paris. There wasn't a revolution in Britain (we in the U.S. had one for them.) All the aristocrats stayed firmly in power for a long time after this. Otherwise, super fun reaction as always. I think you're some of the better reactors on YouTube.

Tony Robinson introduced and led twenty-two years of the British archaeology program Time Team - one of my absolute favorite nonfiction tv shows

No Spoilers - a request for season four - please please please do not watch the comedy central streaming version of the show - it cuts a pivot item

So technically England did kind of have a revolution, except it was before the period this series is set in and it was mostly a bloodless revolution which involved removing a Catholic King (James II) from the English throne, replacing him with a Dutch born King, William of Orange, who was a Protestant and then banning any future monarch from sitting on the throne if they were Catholic. This took place after the Interregnum, when they executed King Charles I and tried out different ways of being a Republic, until people go so sick of the control the Puritans were trying to exert that they asked for their Monarch back. Please note this is an extremely short overview of what happened.

I can't wait for you to watch season 4 of Blackadder. Trying not to give too much away, but it has one of the greatest endings of any comedy series.
