The horror movie that he was watching on tv was the Vincent Price movie called The Tingler from 1959.

- I love this concept and that the supernatural element is a force for good. I think the sequel is really interesting and feels like a genuine extension of the story and not just something they churned out for a cheap cash grab. - I was really glad the father wasn't just a cardboard cutout "abusive parent" cliche. I really felt bad for him. His wife died horribly, and he sees his daughter experiencing some similar things. Obviously he's handling it very badly, but I understand his fear for her. - All of the cast is great but Madeline McGraw is AMAZING in this. I dream of the day when I can call someone a "dumb f***in' fart-knocker."

No one ever reacts to the Pink Floyd needle drop and it kills me! 😭 It's so fitting and well done and yet unexpected since they're very reluctant to let anyone use their music.

Not sure this was a paycheck movie for Ethan Hawke, more like a "let's work with my friend again" thing, the director Scott Derrickson also did Sinister with him. Hawke has so many good movies (and good performances in so-so movies!😆) You already covered my favorites with Gattaca and the Before series but there's also Training Day, Boyhood, First Reformed and Reality Bites (guilty pleasure for the Gen X nostalgia)

For sure, McGraw was terrific in this. I look forward to seeing her career moving forward.

Thank you! The coloration of the blood in that scene was fantastic!

Madelaine McGraw is incredible in this movie.

I haven't seen Sinister, so I didn't make the connection. Thanks!
