Tony Gilroy originally wanted Maarva to say "F**k the Empire" but Disney said no.

Machine Maker

I actually think this was a good call by Disney. And Tony has also said that yeah, fuck would’ve been too much.

Ian Mossner

They insinuated last episode but the daughter of Mon Mothma is very much in favor of the conservative culture values of her people. So she was eager to have an arranged marriage.

You guys should do a reaction to rogue one after season two

ScarlettMi

They’ve shown a couple of times and discussed how Mon’s daughter had began embracing their more fundamentalist heritage and traditions. It’s something Mon and her husband didn’t encourage but that had become almost trendy among the younger Chandrillans. The prospect of a traditional arranged marriage probably appeals to her — at least in theory.

Nemik's Manifesto still gives me chills when I hear it. As good as season one is, season two is amazing. I would put Andor season two up against other great seasons of television. Season three of the west wing, season four of the wire, season four of mad men, season four of game of thrones.

Mon is played by Genevieve O’Reilly in Revenge of the Sith, Rogue One and Andor

TalynOne

Amazing that the same actress who played Marva also played Harry's horrible aunt in the Harry Potter films. As far as Mon's daughter being cool with the arranged marriage they hinted to that earlier. Her daughter was into old Chandrilan traditions (much to the chagrin of Mon), such as young arranged marriage. Mon was married off when she was 15 according to old Chandrilan tradition, which explains part of why her husband is such a bad match. I haven't seen season 2 yet, but heard great things, just never got around to it. I'll try to catch up before your reactions!

Stops drumming for a second to kick a storm trooper off the top of a building. Legendary.

Neill Shaughness

I dug Last Jedi too. Johnson gave us something new and fun. Even Leia in space doesn't really bother me. I don't think it's even the craziest thing we've seen the Force do.

Neill Shaughness

Also, kudos to the actor in the stormtrooper outfit that climbed the stairs to kill hammer chime guy. He does a great job selling the exhaustion of walking up a ton of stairs with just body language. It makes his death that much more fun to watch

Paul T Hewes

well, she said it, but they dubbed the fight over it.

He met the boot end of the Time Grappler...

John Marnell

"He's going full Boyle" lmao perfect

Mithroch

Does anyone else want them to break into a Star Wars version of One Day More the night before the funeral? B2EM0 gets the Eponine part.

Kristi Govertsen

I would 100% watch a spinoff based entirely on the life and times of the hammer chime guy. Although, it’s a toss up on whether the title should be “ANVIL” (with the same title card style as “ANDOR”) or the more snappy (not to mention, sassy and saucy) title, “Stop. Hammer Chime.” IMHO Season 2 is even better than Season 1. I can’t wait for you guys to embark on this next part of the Andor journey.💙

Michael Bennett

I'm glad to see so much love for the Time Grappler (anvil guy)! This episode gave so many chills, the funeral march (using the same instruments as the intro sequence for this episode), the manifesto reading, Maarva's speech. There were two big takeaways from the finale. Luthen sees that the Rebellion is happening on its own now. He is no longer responsible for getting it moving, he can obviously contribute, but it's happening now regardless. And number two is how much Cassian has changed. Even after the heist, he wanted nothing to do with the Rebellion or the Empire, but he found there's no escaping them, even if you *didn't* do anything wrong.

Michael Bennett

I can't say enough about Nemik's manifesto. It's a great piece of writing that perfectly sets up the end of the season, but it survives long after.

dys

Both seasons are amazing, up there with some of the best TV ever.

Suzanne Whyte

Ferrix isn’t a mining planet. They’re mainly salvagers or recyclers, I think. That’s why Marva and Clem were on that ship when they found Cassian and Bix sold parts including the contraband to Luthen. It’s also why in episode 3 when Brasso sabotaged the corporate ship that came for Cassian he was in a shipyard type area and not down a mine.

Suzanne Whyte

I love the funeral march from the slow dirge to the sweeping overhead shot and the tempo shift. They really set the scene and got me all hyped and ready for the fight. I have listened to the funeral music a few times on YouTube. It’s so good.

Anndra

Taking it out of context, but watching a kid make a bomb and saying "I need to learn how to do that" is very funny

GDF

Vel was trying to get Cinta to focus on the fact that she's there rather than Cinta being focused on the job all the time because they're a couple.

Paul T Hewes

-Rix Road is easily my favorite episode of the whole series. -The tunnel scene with Cassian and Brasso always gets me. Especially the line Marva told him to tell Cassian as she was dying: "I love him more than anything he could ever do wrong." Brasso is his BROTHER. -in the fullness of seeing the show, Luthen's reaction to the massacre is understandable

Roland

If it wasn't clear, the young bombmaker was the son of the guy that was tortured to death in the hotel prior to Bix receiving the same treatment.

Roland

and/or* a reaction to Rogue One: The Andor Cut *sorry/not sorry

Paul T Hewes

Another thing I loved about Rix Road was the opening theme was basically being played in the funeral band style from inside the episode.
