Every season of this show gets better. I am bursting to see your reactions to how this season wraps up. It's *so* good and I am so paranoid about spoiling it even just a little bit. Just waiting to see the reveal. Steve Martin does have an honorary Oscar for lifetime achievement.

Oh my dear God - I am SO happy we got to hear the full patter song! What a brilliant sequence! And now part of me is wondering if a musical was written into the season just so Steve Martin could do that, lol. I wouldn't be upset :) Also, I forget if I’ve asked this before, but have you guys ever seen Julie and Julia? Both Meryl Streep and Linda Emond (Donna the producer mom) are in it and have a conversation in the bathroom mirror whilst putting on lipstick, not unlike their conversation here. Wildly different circumstances, but still, very deja vu!

I forgot how great this episode is. Quite the emotional ringer for Loretta and Oliver.

"Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It?" won the Emmy for Best Original Song in 2024! I might have expected one of Meryl Streep's solos to win, being more extractable outside the series, but I certainly don't grudge any success to Steve Martin's patter song. It's delightful!

The writers have an EGOT!

Heather

Julie and Julia is adorable!

DelGuy03

The writers of the song? It has four (Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Marc Shaiman, and Scott Wittman), and yes! the first two (a team in themselves, who asked the other duo to join them for this song) are indeed EGOT holders.

Heather

Yep. I meant Pasek and Paul.

Jamie Morgan

Yep, this is a standout episode, the Pickwick Triplet sequence lives in my head rent-free! And Loretta confessing at the end, after Oliver poured his heart out to her...UGH! Hits me in my soul!

love the Dicey Micey Rat Poison 😂

I’ve been waiting the whole season for this episode 😃. Charles’s tour de force performance that he’s able to pull off because of the stakes for the investigation is just perfect. The editing is amazing. Steve Martin deserves an Olympic medal for something.
