Other callbacks to the movie, the daughter’s name is Scotty same as Jerry and Jean’s son’s name in the movie. Wayne works at a car dealership like Jerry. Jennifer Jason Lee’s character is the rich matriarch similar to Jerry’s father-in-law in the movie.

Though I'm sure I had seen her in things previously, I was pretty unaware of Juno Temple until Ted Lasso came along. When I heard she was going to star in this season of Fargo I was excited, but she blew me away with her performance here as Dorothy, housewife/PTA member/Ninja warrior. Clearly Dot's only weakness is over-mixing her pancake batter (those silver dollars are going to be hockey pucks). One of my favorite Jennifer Jason Leigh roles was when she worked with the Coens in The Hudsucker Proxy. In it she played a tough fast-talking reporter who never missed the opportunity to mention her Pulitzer. Though slower, her accent here is remarkably similar to that. "Let's put the cross-dresser in the center..." And it being Fargo, we have a woman police officer (notwithstanding season 4). Not familiar with Richa Moorjani but officer Olmstead comes across as a pretty no-nonsense character -- though she does need to come down hard on her good-for-nothing boyfriend/husband, who is apparently bankrupting her and has a horrible golf swing. ...and we've yet to meet Jon Hamm's character...

One of the best seasons of a tremendous show. Keeley, Don Draper, Maekar Targaryen, Steve Harrington, Winston from the loft...Plus the story is amazingly good. -I also recommend Noah's next series Alien:Earth. Which is an excellent show no matter how you feel about the other Alien movies. -Dave Foley as the all-white lawyer Danish, was great. -Dot is something all together different than the woman who was kidnaped in the movie Fargo.

Juno Temple’s character was reminding me of Kirsten Dunst’s character at the end there with her vehement denial of reality and generally crazy vibe. I haven’t seen this season but I was also guessing that she escaped from a cult run by John Hamm. Possibly one of those well armed ones that train to fight back against government forces.
