Dean Craig Pelton has entered the chat!!! This is probably the first episode that I love! You can see Greendale as a setting really taking shape here.

Neill Shaughness

Btw, Jim Rash, the actor playing Dean Pelton is an academy award winning screenwriter. He was one of the writers of The Descendants

Chris Warner

I love that the cheat sheet is tiny because Chang is a terrible teacher who barely taught them anything. Chevy Chase is so good on this show, you cannot tell he hates the show and that he did not think it was funny at all.

The three faculty member "judges" were absolutely fantastic. I hope we get more interactions among them!

Youtalkingtome

He really does appear to be having a blast right now.

Luis Guzman got paid every time they showed the statue, no matter how briefly, and I say good for him.

Great episode and reaction guys! It makes me laugh how much Jeff is genuinely a great talker and how well he fits the lawyer role. He says such crazy things and yet.. I almost believe him every time. Such a fitting backstory and archetype for him, and Joel McHale plays it so well. Loving Troy and Abed's continuing partnership so much! And Jeff's quip to Britta in the beginning 'Remember when we used to study Spanish?' is truly a sentence that gets more and more true the longer this show goes on...It's such a good ride!

Michael Barrett

Widow's Bay is very deserving of all its wins, if you guys can, it would be great to see your reactions.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought you followed through on your "BRO channel" remarks from your YouTube nasty comments video and had bought some Meta AI sunglasses to record yourself violating people's privacy just to "own them"... Glad you didn't.., feel better!

Jim Rash has a lead voice role on the Rick and Morty spinoff President Curtis right now (with Keith David as the titular character). I'm not super sold on that show yet but I was surprised that his role is relatively restrained, as I'm more familiar with him from roles where he gets to go really big.

dys

Glad to see you guys singing Danny Pudi's praises, his comic timing is just as genius as Donald Glover's. Obligatory "Larry, I'm on Ducktales" if you don't know that meme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76HijAoXi6k

The cast on this show is so killer and Dan Harmon is a genius writer. Community is so good.

Youtalkingtome

That interview was the first time I ever saw Pudi, and I loved it.

Riley Swain

Yes, please watch widow's bay whenever you can slot it in!! Very uniquely amazing

John Marnell

Widow's Bay is easily the best new show of 2026, you guys would love it!

dys

I watched the first season of that Apple show he was on, Mythic Quest, and it was pretty good but I wanted to like it more than I did. Besides Danny Pudi, I love Ashly Burch, F. Murray Abraham, etc. but it wasn't quite as clever as the other things I love those actors from. As a 90s kid with a lot of nostalgia for the original Ducktales though, as an adult I did thoroughly enjoy the 2010s Ducktales reboot with Pudi alongside David Tennant, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan. Also had Jim Rash.

Seconded

Carl Wilson

Troy recognizing that Abed isn't the kind of friend you "mess with" here is the real beginning of their relationship.

two things to keep in mind about the story Annie tells about what her mom said about her quitting cheerleading: they say in episode 1 that she was a nerd, and (I can't remember if they've already said it or if it comes up later) but she had a pretty big "glow up" after rehab before coming to Greendale. that's part of why Troy doesn't recognize her in the pilot

Amelie W

I for one totally understand you wearing sunglasses for medical reasons. It really would be super weird if it was just a fashion choice, so thank you for clearing that up.

Tobias Keezy

I don’t think it ever stops being Jeff’s show, but in terms of impact, memorability, and popularity, it becomes Troy and Abed’s show for quite a while.

I was looking up the last song Pierce sings because I've heard it but don't know it. In doing so, I found out Ludwig Goransson is the composer for the series. I had no idea.

Hu Main

a bit of a segway but since it never comes up naturally: speaking of Jon Hamm, he costarred with Daniel Radcliffe in a great short 8 episode 2012 show called "A Young Doctor's Notebook", about a Russian village doctor during the Russian revolution. Sounds dry but it's anything but. Way undersold, underseen and underrated, FWIW.
