Willow

My favorite guest star of the season

Oliver craziness is a little more understandable when you remember he recently found out his ex-wife had an affair with his friend, and he isn't his son's biological father. The clock Alzheimer's line hit harder this time. My dad had to draw one at the doctor's today. 😄

The "2 girlfriends in common" are Lucy's mother and Jan. I love the attention to detail that reserved Paul Rudd's credit (he, like Meryl, has always had "Special Guest Star" credit during the main titles) for AFTER the episode this time, so as not to give his presence away too soon. You're talking about recognizing the actress who played Dr. Maggie inspired me to look her up. I was mortified to discover she was Veanne Cox, a favorite of mine onstage and onscreen, and she was so in character I failed to recognize her. (Her rendition of the "Not Getting Married Today" song in a Company revival was the only time I've whooped and cheered after a song, instead of applauding like a sane person.)

Paul Rudd returning as his own stunt double is genius! Almost like a spoof of the ‘evil twin’ trope associated with soap operas. I couldn’t stop giggling 😆

Jamie Morgan

Lucy's mother wasn't the first girlfriend Saz stole, it was Cookie.

I hadn't really noticed before, but this season's soundtrack is extra pretty. That sweet little piano riff to represent Saz is so nice!

Thanks for the reminder..

I think Oliver yelling at his tablet was my biggest LOL moment of the season 🤣

Also yes, Dr Maggie is Veanne Cox who is in both You’ve Got Mail and Erin Brockovitch and also has had a great Broadway career.

Zach Galifianakis was also a series regular on a show called Tru Calling which was led by Eliza Dushku, Faith from Buffy Universe. It was one of my favorite shows that got canceled way too early in season 2.
