The getting rid of Britta song is iconic. Also, I’ve seen this show several times and I missed that Vaughan’s band is called Some Worries.

I might get cancelled for saying this, but ohboi, Alison Brie and Donald Glover have no chemistry! It's really odd, because both of them are great actors, but you can see them try, and... nothing.

I don’t think there’s any risk of that.

I legit love the songs from Vaughn’s band.

The Britta song is so catchy lol

Pierce is definitely the Drake in the feud. Also I don’t know about y’all but Vaughn’s music gets annoyingly stuck in my head. ~~ Pierce, Pierce, Pierce you’re a B~~

The way Abed just rips off "you can do what you want. You just got to figure out what that is" floors me with how casually he drops that wisdom bomb

This EP is more evidence in my theory that Jeff and Abed are two sides of the same coin. In the pilot and in this episode Jeff acknowledged that he was raised by television, just like Abed, and when Jeff stops trying to play the part he thinks he has to for others, he synced up with Abed's lifestyle perfectly.

I've already watched Getting Rid of Britta on YT tonight.

This has one of my favorite underrated bits in the show, where Vaughn misunderstands "Garfunkel" to be "Garfield" and calls Pierce a fat lazy cat who hogs the spotlight. Just like Arrested Development, there's just so much packed in that repeat watchings are not just enjoyable for their own sake but you keep finding new stuff. As another commenter said, this watchthrough is the first time I clocked the band's name as "Some Worries", which is the last line spoken by Vaughn in his previous episode, implying that not only the song, but the entire band was inspired by his pettiness towards Britta.

I think the Annie and Troy story is much more about her not being able to get over being in proximity with the jock she crushed on in high school. They are not giving any hints of him feeling anything beyond friendship for her, and at this point he's even pretty dense about that part of it.

Lola Lirola

I know, I know, but it just... There's no *there* there! In other shows, when a character is pining for another who doesn't reciprocate, it can still burn, you know? And I can see how they wrote it, it's been there since the pilot, but it just... There's no chemistry! I don't know how to express it, it's not anything tangible that I can point at, it's just... no chemistry. Weird.

In a blink and miss it moment, when Troy hugs Annie and says he’s a backpack…you can see Pierce raising his arms and about to do the same to Shirley! 😂

seth e.

so love the wordplay of "getting rid of/'ritta' britta"

Dil

I plan to do a rewatch when I just focus on the background…there are usually so many hidden gems/micro expressions…everybody really brought their A Game to this show!

That makes a lot of sense. I remember Dan Harmon saying that he initially wrote Jeff as somewhat himself, then quickly realized that he was actually more like Abed and directed more of his personal tics to that character.
