This wouldn't fit a purist's definition of a bottle episode (which saves money by having all the action take place in one set that already exists, so it doesn't need to be built or found) -- but I take your point, and I agree that it's exceptionally enjoyable to see all these heavy-duty actors interacting in this one house. I don't rewatch before your reactions, so all I had was a vague memory that this season has this one episode in a Long Island house. And it sure is delightful. And Oliver and Loretta are engaged!

This is obviously someone's misinterpretation of that. instead of all the action, they thought it said all of the actors and hired every actor in the world to be in this episode.

Oh wow - I honestly didn't recognize Melissa McCarthy until you said her name. But she's perfect! And wrestling Meryl Streep in a jealous rage over Martin Short is... well, frankly, it sounds like something out of a mad-libs scenario - but it totally worked here in the most hilarious way! And I'm so glad Oliver and Loretta are engaged now; the fact they're a couple in real life makes it that much cuter.

Almost everyone on this show belongs to the same community of New York actors who've known each other for years and we get the privilege of watching them play together. It's so cozy!

It just goes to show how good this show is that you can have Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Meryl Streep and Selena Gomez sat around a table, all giving 100 percent, and not one of them feels like stunt casting. Just a quick correction, we know who stabbed Jan - she did it to herself, Charles found the weapon in her vent :)
