So much in this episode! I think you're right about the Roland joke: what he finds creepy about Andy is what's creepy about himself... Remember the first time the Schitt's had Johnny and Moira over for dinner? Sort of the same dynamic, just with Roland playing the slob. :) One thing I really love about this season 1 finale is that you can tell the characters have developed, but not so much that it's unrealistic. They've spent a lifetime being self-involved. It would take a lot more than a year in a motel to fix that. I'd suggest that David asking Stevie to move to NYC with him is not really an afterthought. He's spent the last year sharing a room with Alexis and I think the point is that he's grown accustomed to her. She's moving like he is, so it makes her a more natural first choice. Asking Stevie is a bigger deal, since the two of them actually have a solid (albeit complicated) relationship. She's who he really wants with him but he's emotionally ill-equipped to say so. P.S. I love their choice of end of season music: not the standard themes they've used throughout the season. Using "Live Again" stamps the last moments as different and punctuates it with a kind of musical question mark :)
