Blowie Hill?

Yes, kids can be very mean. I went to a good high school, and there were some people that tired to push a teacher down the stairs. And they try to look good in front of their friends.

That's ridiculous. Being a kid is weird, hard, and just confusing. That's terrible. Hopefully they grew up and learned their lessons!

I had never considered watching this show until hearing you two rave about it in some of your other reactions. Ten episodes into the first season, and I’m loving it so far—not to mention, your reactions are a really fun way to experience the journey🙂. By the by, based on my far-too-small sample size of non-randomly-selected episodes, I suspect you two would dig Girls5Eva (a Tina Fey creation that has a quirky style of humor and pacing similar to 30 Rock, flavored with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend-esque songs). I imagine others have already recommended Girls5Eva to you in other comment threads, but even if you never react to it, I hope the not-remotely-sound statistical analysis (because math, amiright?🤣) sells you on the idea that the show is worth adding to your personal “To binge for fun” lists. NOTE: If/when you do watch it, be sure to stop Netflix from auto-advancing so you can watch the full credits at the end of each episode to enjoy the hilarious bonus (longer) versions of the featured songs. Ok, back to the CEG adventure🙂. Thanks for providing the opportunity to do some absurdly meaningless, nonsensical statistics whilst watching this gem of a show!

I am going to try and point out Valencia's point of view. She has been dating a guy for 15 years, and we are only seeing the last few months of their relationship that has clearly stagnated years ago! What woman continues to put in effort in a relationship that is going nowhere? They just barely moved in together, and Josh is quite clearly having an emotional affair with the woman who is stalking him and actively trying to ruin his relationship? So, with that being said, why would Valencia not be upset? If anything, she is way to patient with her boyfriend and not hostile enough towards Rebecca!

Those girls were super mean, but it was also a camp for disadvantaged teens...so presumably they're a bit rougher than regular teens. How about that song though? So problematic, but sooo catchy. Definitely another one that I get stuck in my head all the time.

That "Put Yourself First" song does a great job of satirizing that whole self-deceiving "make yourself over just for you (and then he'll notice you)" message. Rebecca's "wait a second..." comments all the way through are to the point, and even more so the photographer in the video with the shirt that says "MALE GAZE." I am so devoted to this series, I do keep a little list of minor points I could criticize, just to prove that I can admit it's not 100% perfect. And one of those is that a knowledgeable woman like Rebecca would be so totally clueless about why someplace would be called "Blowie Point."

Maybe she went into full-on innocent young camper mode, and just really dedicated herself to that role so hard that she can't fathom that these children would have dirty intent at summer camp.
