Binge week for CXG! So happy! And my thanks to you both for doing this! Only one song this week (leaving aside that "Whale" business), but at least it was a good one, and I'm always glad to see more Dr. Akopian. Casting notes: I had never noticed myself, so kudos to you for spotting it instantly -- this is a different actor playing Silas Bunch from the one we saw in the separation flashback. This actor will continue to play the role as needed in the future. It's still the same young actress as Young Rebecca, though, Ava Acres. Isn't she terrific? Also, the bearded moving guy who helped bring the couch back is the same one we saw move Rebecca in, in the pilot. We'll see him a couple more times in future seasons, too. And bravo! for immediately spotting a subtle and important character point: In her real life (as opposed to her fantasy songs) Rebecca Bunch (as opposed to Rachel Bloom) is a mediocre singer at best.

This is a weird bottle episode....Like, Rebecca learns a lot (and so do we), but it also strains your brain a bit trying to make it all line up. How did she know they were in her apartment? How did she know what the conversation was like between her mother and father? Is what we saw basically her dream interpretation of the subtle truths that she'd been subconsciously collecting???

Dream Ghosts is my favorite number to this day

It was quite subtle but was an interesting catch, it's such a fun show that it's easy to forget that so much of this takes place in her head.

I totally forgot that the Dream Ghosts dress as the Supremes LOL (also, as for Paula in this episode: holy lack of boundaries, Batman...)

I'm sure it is to a certain extent, but the costumes in that musical are inspired by the Supremes 👍
