Ted Lasso, Season 3, Episode 7

Jamie's accent is delightful. And quite impressive on the part of Phil Dunster, as his normal accent is VERY different. At risk of breaking your immersion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8K6bXA594g I don't get why people are hating so much on this season either. I definitely have issues with it in various places, but overall I'm enjoying the ride. Btw, there are 12 episodes this season, like in season 2.

Not sure if you fellas caught it, but when Sam & his father are talking in the weight room, Sam's father pinches Sam's earlobe - a callback to season one and the conversation between Ted & Sam when Ted attempts to give Sam one of the little green army men. Such a great detail.

I was obsessed with this show seasons 1&2 but season 3 has disappointed me. It's like a whole different writing team's on it although I'm not sure if that's the case 🤔

Luca Siracusa (Bob)

This episode was my favorite in the entire show by far. The Total Football speech by Jamie really showed how much the man improved from when we first saw him in Season 1 And Trent is right: Total Football started the day Ted Lasso joined Richmond: it started by being there for your buddies, by helping those that tries something, by being a good person, by trusting each others, by being a group and just filling every void anyone could feel. The Lasso Way: Total Football

Jamie making Total Football work for the team = "Shite in Nine-ing Armor". His jersey number has always been #9!

Mermaid Day

Did you notice Will had a red string attached to his water bottle carrier? Haha! His Beard impression was spot on too!

I feel the characters' personalities have been toned down, it's lost its original workplace sitcom feel and interwoven arcs (most of the leads no longer interact even), and there's a bigger drama and social commentary focus which I feel is dime a dozen these days. I loved the serious moments of S1&2 balanced with everything else but IDK, just not feeling it as much now.

I've watched this episode a few times. Cried every time Sam hugged his dad, it was such a fulfilling moment of having your parent there when you need them.

Joe, Kevin, just saw latest ep 9 (won't spoil anything) and it felt a bit more like the old character dynamics at times which was nice. So I'm not all down on this season lol. It's still different to me but it's restored some of my mood with it lol

The city of London used to be somewhere between five and fifty towns (opinions are divided) that just expanded until they ran into each other, which I think explains a lot about the distinctiveness and charm of those little neighborhoods. And while on that topic, the way I hear it street vehicles in the city have not become faster in the past 1200 years. Streets are so crowded the subway is a much better travel option for any occasion; and probably parking sucks too, yeah.
