This episode had so many great moments. The uncomfortable scene between Kevin and Heather is a video clip that I share during any conversation about how uncomfortable us white people are about discussing race. Other moments that crack me up....Nathaniel yelling "Get out of my room" during their fight, and later the "Superior? You're not a man."

I've seen a lot of song rankings for the show (I'm kind of obsessive about that), and it's fascinating how much they can differ. Here are my top 6 (I couldn't reduce it to 5) of those we've had so far, in order of preference: 1. Settle for Me 2. The Math of Love Triangles 3, You Stupid Bitch 4. Let’s Have Intercourse 5. We Tapped That Ass 6. (Tell Me I’m OK) Patrick As a music teacher, I tend to weight the musical aspect of a song (melodic, harmonic, structural) more heavily than what the words are about; otherwise I would have found a place for "Gettin' Bi" among others.

I wanted to say separately that Rebecca donating the egg is another of the handful of plot points in the series that doesn't really work for me: clearly she's going through official medical channels as she's getting all the hormones and all, so they would inevitably have contacted her therapists and shut down the idea for her in her current situation. But they're moving all the pieces in place for the remainder of the series, so I have to shrug and tell myself "that's what happened, whether I think it's likely or not." I watched the show as it aired, and I certainly got impatient (or worse) with Rebecca at many points (especially early in season 1 before I realized it had a definite long-term plan). But I never gave up on her. I was always curious to see what happened next. Musical detail: the music playing at the end of the episode while Rebecca and Nathaniel were kissing was the accompaniment to "We Should Definitely Not Have Sex Right Now."

If you're watching "I Go To the Zoo" and "My Sperm Is Healthy" on YouTube, I hope (for your own enjoyment) that it's the Explicit versions!!

When Rebecca was looking up Nathaniel's girlfriend on her laptop, the music in the background is the instrumental of "Research Me Obsessively", the song Brittany Snow sang in S2. The show actually does this a lot if you listen closely haha, they sneak in instrumentals of certain past songs that fit the context of the scene

My nerdiest moment watching this episode was when the one guy at the end of the conference table said, "Seconded. And thirded," and then out loud I responded, "That's not how Roberts Rules of Order works." 🤣
