In case you missed it, not only does Tahani's diary actually have a foreword(!), the foreword is co-written by Kylie Minogue and Malala Yousafzai....

Hey, this show is really good at cliffhanging. Difficult to resist binging. :) Our homie was such a great monk, though, it's a petty he is so scared.

Oh, and never mind rambling on! It's the best part of watching something like this show. Also, have a great new year, pretty soon!

garret dillahunt was also in deadwood. i wouldn't classify veronica mars as a comedy, per se - but it's a great show and would definitely be worth watching at some point. preferably for the channel, so i (and other marshmallows) can watch along - but either way. and fun fact (in honor of janet): all the fro-yo in the good place is mashed potatoes. 🙂

For another afterlife movie, I'd highly recommend the movie Defending Your Life (1991), which is an Albert Brooks movie starring him and Meryl Streep. It almost feels like a prequel for The Good Place.

Absolutely!!! Albert Books is a comedy genius and that movie is WAY underrated. Also has the great Rip Torn.

Even though I keep recommending Deadwood, I swear I didn't remember Kristen Bell was in it until you guys said it and I looked it up lol.

Regarding Kevin Spacey, I have the same problem because of course he's a monster, but he's also such a good actor he makes me forget that...which is giving a monster a compliment so I feel bad again. Crap, am I Chidi???

We don't have to condone these peoples personal lives to enjoy their work is my conclusion. Mel Gibson has done and said terrible things, yet I still love Lethal Weapon, Braveheart, etc. All we can do is live our best lives and thank god we're not them!

Just a minor tip for S1E4: if you are using subtitles, turn them off until Jianyu explains about his meditation chamber, early on in the episode. There's a great audio joke that will get (very slightly) spoiled by the text. You can restore the captions immediately afterwards. :)
