Ravnica Ramdon Encounter #004 [48*84] The RubbleBelt (Patreon)

In a world covered with city streets and towering buildings, the Gruul are the most out of place, the most ill at ease, and the most eager to topple it all and start fresh. Constant ritualistic warfare reverberates among the clans, every skirmish reinforcing their doctrine of the survival of the fittest. They frequently send sorties into the civilized areas to secure goods - and to wreak havoc.

The Rubblebelt is an ever-expanding archipelago of death and destruction that reaches out past the 10th district which has also become known as the Red Wastes. North of Precinct Four is an endless warzone stretching for vast miles of land where the Gruul launch raids and sieges against civilization. The only people who choose to live there are those that cannot leave or those that are too stubborn to leave.

The firebird represents the brutal and primal power of the Ravnica plane.
Each guild has a different attitude to the creature. The Izzet and Simic want to capture it for their experiment, the Boros and Azorius want to eliminate it to protect the ordinary citizens. Rakdos could use the bird for another fancy show, Dimir and Orzhov don't really care about it and only want to sell it to another guild for either information or gold. Gruul, Selesnya and Golgari are the only guilds which willing to preserve the birds.

The rubblebelt is a wild and primal area. Aside from the firebird, it also has lots of oversized monsters, if your player loves combat, they could find some humongous targets in this area.

If your player happened to be a Gruul guild member, or they are trying to protect the firebirds. this map can be used for a defensive battle. Mercenaries from other guilds try to steal the egg of the firebird. and the player will have to stop them. the defend the egg combat will be extremely hard. but the goal of the combat is not to eliminate all the enemies but to stay alive for at least X turn (X equals the number of players +3) and then, the firebird parent will come and help.

No matter what choice your player makes, they will have an opportunity to get a baby firebird at the end of the battle if they pass a DC16 Animal handling check. the baby firebird is a tiny companion, but when he grows up, it can be a very trustworthy partner or even a flying mount
