Rod Reiss is the true royal blood but I think he might of turned into a weird looking abnormal titan because he licked it instead of injecting it fully. The serum might off not fully entered his body probably turning him into a deformed titan.

i dont know if anyone has told you guys yet but ep 12 which i believe is ep 49 on crunchy roll “night of the battle to retake the wall” theres a end credit scene that yall should watch :))

this to clarify, Not spoliers. 1: Theres no titans around because this is taking place withing the first/second walls. the wall-break scare was a false alarm as they went around wall rose to look for a hole. 2. Dr.jeager (Eren's dad) was eaten by Eren. you see this in the flashback when Historia and Rodd touch Erens back when he is chained. Hange theorized that a Titan Shifters power is transferred when a mindless titan eats a person with the power of the titans. This is why titans eat, rather than kill.
