For as xenophobic or even gullible through isolation as this or many such a fictionally portrayed monastery has behaved in general, these monks still evoke sympathy. The abbot didn't deserve such a horrific send-off. David Cronenberg (legend), eat your heart out. Could be, the second voice coming from that pair of monks that Vido followed probably isn't through a human mouth on one of those men's faces. Well-done overall, halfling Watson, despite this dark location with which to cliffhang this story on. Old Rudolphus became host for this place's lord of the flies.
