So the dad DID go back for Beth 5 years prior to her mom showing up at his doorstep. He wanted to take Beth back then, but her mom refused and said that they were happy and didn’t need him. He told her that he couldn’t continue doing this every time she had an episode (which I’m assuming was quite a bit). He told her mom that this was the last time he was going to go looking for them. Which is how he ended up moving on and remarrying. I definitely think he SHOULD have taken Beth back, but I also understand his pov. It was a messy marriage, her mom insisted that they didn’t need him, and he moved on and had another family to worry about. And then her mom shows up out of the blue and says “hey I know it’s been 5 years since I took our kid and left you, but I need you to take her now.” Like…it IS a bit crazy.

Awwwww! I’m so glad you guys watched this series! It’s been one of my favorites of your reactions so far! Peak commentary, hilarious imitations and nicknames. I think Mikey needed an Indiana Jones ensemble to wear for the finale…🤣 I’m so glad Beth had Jolene! Having her support there at the end was so pivotal in being the true support Beth needed so she didn’t need to rely on the pills and alcohol. Then, of course, having the “nerd herd” and Townes show up for her in Russia made the circle complete. I honestly love you guys! I’m so proud to be an MSP OG! Keep killing it! 💯❤️🔥

I was with a girl once, at first she wanted to be friends, I didn't just ditch her and said yes with my soul (she was so fun)... Then she wanted more, hey that was good... Then bad break up but eventually friends again... Then more again after, I hope to god not to meet her again, I would be back in the same boat lol. It's fun watching folks react to this, and all sleight of hand the show plays with its characters. :) Borgov? Not the antagonist or villain here. The KGB? Not really the antagonist or villain either. Nor are the Soviet players. And Benny isn't the villain. Beltik isn't the badguy. Alma Wheatley isn't an antagonistic character. Heck, Mr. Wheatley is a total piece of shit, but he's not the villain in this story either. You can go back all the way through: Beth's mom isn't the villain, really. Mrs. Deardorff at the home isn't the villain. And in the end, it isn't Borgov she defeats. It's a much tougher final boss. This show has a hero: Beth Harmon. This show also has a villain: Beth Harmon.
