I feel like I have way different movie taste than a lot of the other MSPs because for the movie choices the past few months, I'm always kind of like "ehhh...." and then the movie I end up voting for is one of the least voted for movies. (In this case, The Menu). Anyway, it bums me out :(

Out of all these IMO The Last Samurai is the perfect film for the guys to watch. The story, the acting, the music, the beauty of every shot...all are just beyond the best. So It gets my vote even though I love all the rest on the list.

there are aspects of the trope there for sure but I will say the marketing for it is quite deceptive, as in the marketing leaned into that more than the film does. Definitely a film worth talking about though, if it wins ill be looking for your comments in the reaction, excited to see your thoughts

And there is definitely no disrespect to any other MSP because I'm not like that and don't mean it in that way. But I feel like a lot of people just kind of request their favorite movies, but don't really take into consideration if it's the kind of movie that Mikey and Sean would be into, whether it's truly a good movie (like objectively based on a large number of ratings) and also whether it's a movie worth reacting to based on the amount of views that other channels get for that same movie (which they've talked about before). I try to suggest movies are all of those things and then someone will be like "Ooh, watch Kindergarten Cop!" and it gets 20 likes. haha. (I just randomly chose that movie, so no offense, It's a fun movie). And I say all this with love. Not trying to be negative or snarky

Tom Cruise is not a "white savior" in that movie at all. If anything it's the samurai who save him and reinvigorate his life.

That's the typical read I've heard from literally dozens of people I've personally spoken to and probably hundreds online. Its definitely not a white savior movie. Unless you count Bill & Ted 1 as a white savior movie.

If you can't understand why someone would like Kill Bill and think Menu would outshine it, seems crazy to me. I watched menu on a plane and it was good but I'm not sure I'd watch it again. don't wanna offend. Mikey and Sean love art, attention to detail and that you'd need to watch it again to pick up on it. I may be wrong, this is just my opinion.

I apparently haven't seen that many standalone movies because I can't think of any I'd really want a reaction from that aren't a series like Harry Potter, LOTR, Star Wars, etc.. I do hope they will eventually watch animation, though.

Agreed, Kill Bill is movie history - a perfect fusion of the quintessential spaghetti western saga and samurai/kung fu drama. It's unfortunate that people miss the art of it within the spectacle of its action. If they really did miss this gem, we owe it to them to vote it up!
