Thank you for already spoiling my good mood, Quick Draw McGraw. There is no spoiling something that happened 40 years ago, I dare say.

Pythagoras666

Mike just repeated what was said in the last episode, nothing more. That's hardly "a waste of a reaction". Legasov's character already explained the same things Mike just said.

And it’s their very first watch of this so how can they be spoiling something they haven’t seen yet 🤷‍♀️ They’re only explaining it up to the point they have seen. I’m so sorry it’s frustrating. I understand your point of view. 💜

Lookin good Sean! Love the new hair

A Romanian named Andrei

How can they spoil a historical event? Also…. Everything Mike said was covered in episode 4. He says he heard it from his brother… but it was also all covered in episode 4. A

Really liked what Sean said at the end of the reaction. It’s the stories of the people affected by the Chernobyl disaster that really hit home just how devastating it all was. Thank you for watching this with us, gents! What an incredible series—truly one of the greatest ever made.

I'm Ukrainian, and I was born in Odesa in 1986. Thank you for watching this serie, Mike and Sean, it's an event that is truely close to heart. What an outstanding show!

I love so many things about how they crafted this show but I think my favorite is how they showed the incredible bravery of those who gave their lives to keep it from getting worse and those who made sure it wouldn’t happen again. How they told the truth even with guns pointed at their heads. They saved countless lives with their bravery. So many people were content to be cogs in the machine that was built on lies. Even though this story is so difficult to watch and shows so much human weakness, it also shows so much incredible bravery and sacrifice. Just a perfect commentary on the human condition.

Fun fact: The actor who plays the prosecutor in Chernobyl is the same one you will soon see playing Roose Bolton in Game of Thrones

Naxxyo21

I think it's the first time I rewatch it in full... and your commentary made it even better. I'm european, from belgium, and the story I was told was neither this one, neither yours. The cost of lies is everywhere.

So glad you watched this, it really is such a hard watch, but so well put together as one of the best mini series ever made. Heart breaking, educational & truly outstanding in the way it's been produced.

You are going to love Band of Brothers. Suggest that you start a tier list of your favorite characters in it.

Interesting fact - "what is the cost of lies?" are the first and the last words in the series.

Hey guys, I work at a nuclear research facility in North Eastern Ontario, Canada. This show is a yearly watch amongst all the men under my shift. Trust me, the level of do as I say and who cares what the paper in your hand says was rampant for way too long even in the West. Only since Fukushima has a proper culture of speak up if you're unsure been adopted. Older workers kept secrets because it kept the young ones beneath them. Nuclear is by far the best bet in our species future but by God do the right people need to be in charge of it.

SamlovesWillow

Thanks for watching this show - thoroughly enjoyed rewatching it (for the umpteenth time) with you guys. The fact that you were so quiet whilst watching Legarsovs' testimony was a reaction in itself 👌

Joanna

Sorry, Mike, but I have to disagree this time. I preferred the "ser Sean puffy of hair" look 😉 The most important thing, however, is what Sean feels good in.

nezudev

I think they already saw him and called it out!

nezudev

I've watched several nuclear engineers react to the show and they've basically said the same! I also learned that nuclear energy is by far the most effective, cleanest, most regulated, and, now, safest form of energy we have.

A fantastic series, such a gut punch through-out but so important to watch. I too did a bit of my own research after first watching this, because it's amazing what you *think* you know, but it's no where near enough. Thanks for watching with us guys! 💜💜💜💜

Hi guys, cheers from Ukraine. I was born and raised in the Eastern Ukraine, however I spent 12 years living in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, 30 miles from Chornobyl Power Plant. It took me a while to internalise the history. It affected me and my family. It feels very good to be seen. Thank you for your sincere attention to the subject matter. I remember your earlier comment about whether the people in USSR would’ve been empathetic if a disaster like this would’ve happened in the United States. I want to affirm your optimism in general. Censorship did terrible things during USSR, and many people would stay ignorant. However, being Ukrainian and knowing the people in Ukraine personally, I want to tell you sincerely — if this happened in your home, enough people would’ve rallied for you, let you into their homes, especially those who were raised before social media took over. I hope that our children will learn to be like that and beat the cynicism and fear-mongering of social media.

Nice hair Sean....much better than a standard poodle cut...lol kidding...looks good and great reaction. hugs

Monnisnah

Just an observation... Mike you look like my dad and Sean looks like my uncle. Not only looks but personalities. You could be brothers. lol.

Why on earth would you blur the end text?

It should be known that the "sarcophagus" around chernobyl is in danger of collapsing due to being struck in the russian/ukraine war.
