This is the difference. Crow's not afraid. He's staring death in the eyes but he doesn't look down, even when there's no way in hell (literally) he can get out of it.

Crow is boss staring DP in the face, that mention of unnatural death is interesting for sure, and I got the feeling even this will bite Virtue in the butt somehow. Sure Crow hadn't planned for DP to be summoned, but I believe in Crow to have some way out. Or DP will find a loophole as well.
