Foxglove asks the deep questions of the ever so shallow Mack.

RoosterFish

So every new wielder starts off with 99 lives. Makes sense.

Amber

Actually I think that’s his hand on his hip. You can kind of see his upper arm. I can see where you thought this though.

can we see the full rant?

Mirrored Knight

"Why a toga?" Why not a Toga? Weren't you paying attention to all the marble looking structures?

I see a pic of Mack and it says "x96" so does he have 96 lives?

Anonymous

Trouble in Paradise page 16, Crow did say he killed him 3 times :) so unless he respawns and uses that 96th live...

Anonymous

Yeah, going with the traditional count of these being *extra* lives, and following the canonical events, Mack has died three time *since reaching ×99 extra lives* sometime between the time of High School Crucible and the game. And we've seen all three between the game and Prisim: his battle at Adept Co. against Crow, his waltzing right in front of a freaking death ray at Bramble Flats, and then in the finale of Prisim.

JHano

You may not have noticed, Crow changes the number every time it comes up, implying he's an https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/UnreliableNarrator and like his other hero brethren, he survives his initial boss fight encounter. (his being Adept Co) Only dying to the Death ray. (it does have death in its title). So he's only died in HSC, once in the game, and in Prism.
