Same. The speech feels off for Mayapple but more in line with what Foxglove would think she would say. There is no talk of friendship for instance but a lot of spouting about some vague future glory instead. Also Mayapple honestly doesn't seem the type to use a tragedy for a rally type speech in the first place.

I agree with the others here - this speech feels way off for Mayapple, as does that semi-crazed expression on her face. I feel like Foxglove's crazed mind, her mania as it were, is starting to affect her perception of the world around her.
