So in all these years she never suspected that her more pragmatic mother might have wanted a weapon to act like one or looked into the sudden change, but just assumed a robot could only change their mind voluntarily? I am actually scared how Scorpior will react to the lost memories and the realization she abandoned him twice now.

I mean, she was a small child. How could she have known better? Did you doubt every single thing your parents did when you were little? Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Etc. Kids accept things at face value. With no reason to believe otherwise (and the emotional trauma of Scorpior literally slaughtering people on live television, which she witnessed) it makes perfect sense that she never thought to question what happened.
