With volume 3 "Dark Hearts" coming to a close. We're kicking off Volume 4. "Royal Pain" this Monday! So with that in mind I wanted to check in and get peoples thoughts.

Give me your review of volume 3 as a whole.

Favorite chapter?

Least favorite chapter?

Any reason why those are your least or most favorite?

Thoughts you might have on all three volumes collectively.

Be on the lookout for polls as well, as I also take the pulse on broader topics, and even test the waters for possible changes to release schedules.

As always, thank you very much for reading and supporting. It always means the world to me. <3

Love Volume 3! I think my favorite like with many others is the Bridal Royal, given that many of the subplots collided and intertwined together. Close second is likely Noclip. Because besides the Crow x Becky interactions we got so far, I've also liked how Mack and the bunny girl (I'm bad remembering names) also work off of each other. And the noclipping gimmick was great as a character concept!

Bridal Royale was an insanely wild ride and I adore it.

Favorite chapter this time has to be either the Scorpion or Bridal Royale. The former because we got a lot more Scorpior, and the latter because it was a massive payoff to 2+ years of buildup and was executed quite well. Least favorite chapter is probably the Frog. There isn't a standout reason why I feel that way. It simply had too much competition with other great chapters. Volume 3 was pretty good. Volume 1 might still be my favorite due to seeing Crow do a lot more villainy, but 3 wasn't a slouch in any way. Volume 2 was probably my least favorite as its main arc was a bit all over the place, not really tying anything together until chapter 12. It all tied together well in the end, so I don't dislike it at all, but once again its competition relegates it to the back of the line.

It's a little hard for me to keep track over what belongs to what volume, but gotta say, LOVING the last two entries, Bridal Royale and Wings of Valor. I mean, I REALLY wish Crow didn't end up getting married to the Llama princess, but it's your creation. Interested in seeing how this impacts the world going forward.

My favourite chapters were Bridal Royale and the Butcher. Bridal royale because of the plot and character developments, and also the chaos and how many fun and crazy shenanigans there were in it. Butcher just because it's very fun and I appreciate we got a better look into the Wa-verse. I'm a huge Crow and Becky fan but I honestly prefer the outcome we got in Bridal Royale because I think it progresses the story more and it was interesting to see Crow make that kind of decision. I also want to see Crow commit a bit more villainy soon, and I think the outcome helps with that. Becky has also been my top favourite character by a mile for years now so I enjoyed her character being expanded in volume 2 and 3 a lot. I love seeing the more emotional side of her and I'm hoping one day we learn more about her backstory before meeting Crow. I just really hope she doesn't totally lose the part of her character thats ruthless and cruel. Not that I expect it to happen, but sometimes its hard to find a balance when developing a softer side of characters like Becky. For volume 4 I like wings of valour a lot more than I initially expected to and I'm excited to see where the story goes from volume 3. The title "Royal pain" definitely brings up some interesting thoughts.

Bridal Royale was an amazing payoff to years of build up but it is almost matched by the sheer parody of The Butcher. I have to call it a tie between the 2. It has been a long time since I have seen a "Nothing is the Same anymore" moment played as well as Bridal did it. Meanwhile Butcher had me laughing constantly. making fun of certain types of games properly is quite difficult but Butcher did it amazingly well.

The Scorpion and Bridal Royale were up there. Can't say I have a least favorite because yeah comics vary, but they all add onto the world building, lore, or characters in some way. (Oops, didn't know that would post right away.) Scorpion just hit ya good. Scorpior gets his memory back, old frog face gets a makeover and a new outlook on life, and we see what became of the previous queen, which hits on a similar note as Lark, who is cursed to make chicken noises and also can't communicate well. Bridal Royale had a great buildup for years and left everyone in-universe flatfooted and baffled. It truly felt like a capstone and a checkmate to everyone while also building up for something greater..

Overall I loved Volume 3, it was great seeing everything from the entire volume finally come to a head in Bridal Royal, especially for all the theorizing the community went through to try and figure out how Crow was going to get out of the marriage. My favorite issue for this one was definitely No Clip, getting more lore on Sword was neat. Least favorite was probably Heartseeker...there was nothing I disliked about it, but it's the only story I had to go back and read a few pages of to remember what it was about.
