I haven't done one of these for a while, and by Crikey - it was a lot more work than I had anticipated. I have a few more engines to look at, but don't hold your breath.The flame-eater engine is a concept that had a brief moment in the light, but was then cast into the shade by more powerful steam engines. Here, I examine one in possibly more detail than some of you would have chosen, but I hate to disappoint the engineering geeks.This one includes my first go at s l o w m o t i o n, and I'd rate it as a partial success. The sound loses synch, and the LED lights strobe a bit, but it is at least slow (1/6th speed).
