This may sound silly, but a cool follow up might be a story where John has to compete in a literal MR Universe competition. It'd be cool to see what sort of aliens you'd draw.

Great idea. Actually I've thought of his god level strength being detected by aliens who come to test him. Fantastic Four comic in the 60's did a similar idea with Ben Grim/the Thing being abducted by an alien race to compete in a gladitorial combat.
