Although Dark Elves tend to be 'wilder', they are also arrogant. For Syllia, who was pretty much the top in terms of talent in her clan, and even on Earth at the time, it was difficult for her to find someone at her level for whom she could grow some affection. Of course, some dark elves don't care, but she did. As for if she had some short-term fling, that's a mystery I won't explore. And for the Liya and Bryn, yes, they are. Or were I guess. For Liya, it was something I planned at the beginning of the novel, but Bryn was added way after. You're welcome and thanks as usual for your help!
