Let me try and sum up my thoughts again cause I won't be rewatching all of that. First of all, I hate how the ending(aka especially the last 10 minutes) kinda ruined the entire show for me, because it prevents me from enjoying most of the last episode now. The entire run to the airport only for Mhok to be at the venue was fun. As you said, gives a classic romcom vibe with a little twist. As for the ending. Gosh. How can I put this into words again? It was such a major disappointment and a year later, I'm still bitter about it. The issue isn't and has never been with Day regaining his sight, but with the way it's been done as a last minute thought and in such a short time frame. Had it not happened on the day of the wedding, minutes after he reunites with Mhok (which is rushed too), I wouldn't have had so much issue with it. Give me a cute scene years later with them and their kids, or even grown up Pomjai where we understand Day can now see again... ok, why not. But this? This? Ah, I'm angry. It kind of changes the entire message of the series tbh, after such a beautiful journey of acceptance. And I hate how they made it look like regaining his sight was easy. Just like Day had to adjust to losing his sight, he would need the opposite. The entire balance/dynamic of Mhok and Day's relationship changes, and it's not a bad thing, but it would have been interesting to either follow that journey or simply not make it so rushed after their reunion as if that wasn't a major shift. As you said, it's not a bad ending per se, far from it, it's simply not on par with most of the series and the message it conveyed up until the last couple episodes. I'm part of those who think the break up was kind of necessary. However, we did see how Day's life evolved after that. His book shop, his independance, his confidence/acceptance. However what about Mhok, his past, his self-confidence? Okay he's working in Hawaii and being somewhat successful, but that's about it. He comes back, flirts with Day almost as if nothing had happened and that's it. I think it would have been better if it happened earlier and we could have followed a bit of their solo journey before the reunion. Doing it at the end of EP11 with only one EP left didn't give enough room for it to fully make sense, especially wth the wedding taking a part of it. That's one thing as well that I regret, not having more of Night and Porjai's developping relationship. Most of it happens on screen, and even if it wasn't the focus of the series, it would have been nice to follow their journey a bit. I think this is even longer than the first one, but you get me. We've talked about this already in detail, so yup'

Aowww, that's such a cute message to your followers at the end. As I've told you before, watching things with you is often much funnier for me than on my own. I love rewatching with you ♥

First of all, I'm sorry it took me forever to reply to this!!! I so appreciate you commenting on this even after all this time <3 But yeah, we went through this a few times at this point, but God this ending...was not it!! I agree with everything you've said! And it's such a shame because up until EP 10, I really struggled to find anything to criticize about this show (there was the thing with August but that wasn't really half as bad as the last two EPs). Up until EP 10 we had a beautiful pacing to the story, the EPs didn't feel rushed or like they were filling space, they felt right. But after that, it felt like they either still had a lot that they planned to happen but forgot they only had two more EPs left and tried to squeeze everything in, or like they didn't know what to do to "surprise" the audience so they just threw anything they could think of in the last EPs and hoped for the best. Neither of these is a good enough reason for me. Some people have said they think this ending does not ruin the message of the show - and while they are entitled to that opinion and I can sort of see where they're coming from, I beg to differ. There really was not enough time in two EPs to sell the point that they were supposedly trying to make. The execution absolutely matters and the way they did it here, it felt cheap and condescending. I have yet to rewatch the show to see whether the ending has ruined it for me or not (it's likely I'll be able to enjoy it still, if I watch only until EP 10 and pretent that's where it ends lol), I guess I'll let you know how I feel once I do! It is what it is though - thank God for fanfiction (and for my own imagination) in times like these 😅 Again, thank you so much for being so supportive of what I do <3 you're a sweetheart 😘

I seriously love the idea of watching a show with other people - or I guess, other people watching it "with" me! It makes me really happy to know I can make this even more enjoyable for you ❤❤❤
